Some people believe Tom Kaye supports a plant. I don't see where he says this.
From Tom's site.
we can speculate that he must have had some human interaction that could have eventually led to the money being buried on Tena Bar. How the Cooper bundles came to be buried where they were remains as big a mystery as who D.B. Cooper was.
He is also basing a lot on Cooper jumping miles away from the Columbia, and the money trying to find it's way down to the river. one of my questions to him is asking if he can rule out the money being closer to the river, or directly falling into the river based on jumping further south having the data wrong on the jump itself in the first place.
speculate ........ exactly! finally somebody sees it! Took years with Blevins doing all of his made-up conspiracy theory stuff in the meantime This is one of the reasons I wanted Kaye to come here to clear up a few lose ends.
I have never thought Tom was saying the money at Tina was definitely a "plant". It would have been better had Tom simply said: "we dont know how the money got to Tina Bar", and left it at that.
Blevins survives on making things up and distorting what people say. And people just let him do it.
I have tried a million times to document that the FBI and NWA themselves weren't sure where Cooper bailed, and if the Timeline is off by as much as 3-5 minutes, then he did bail further south than originally thought. That brings Cooper and his money closer to the Columbia regardless of which flight path one invokes.
The money was found at a location where just about everything has arrived from water flow. The money was surrounded by artifacts in the same strata (cans, wood, nails, etc) which had arrived by water flow. All of the forensic evidence points to 'arrived by flow'.
The only real options are the same as they always were: (a) the money arrived by flow, or (b) the money arrived with the dredging debris of 1974. And we are no further along in resolving this dilemma than we were in ...... 1980! The Citizen Sleuth Team has provide no new information on the money, so far?
