While on this subject. would anyone be interested in a commemorative type of plaque from Tina bar? I was thinking of putting some sand into small corked bottles onto a wood base with some sort of plate explaining what it is? (see photo) I would like to give them out to the valued members of this forum in appreciation of making this thread continue to be valuable to researching the DB Cooper case? all I would ask for is a small shipping fee of I believe $4.95? I'm making one for myself for sure...

Meyer will be sending me the real sand (clean course sand). I'll start on them this weekend so I have them ready once the sand arrives...

So you have read Gunthers book!!...  goood job with the wit...yeah, that was a silly error by Gunther regarding Hoffa, but that was trivial fluff he was trying to add, but it doesn't take away from the real meat: the communications with Clara.  Speaking of Hoffa, I grew up and at the time was a mile from the Machus restaurant where he was picked up.

I know what you mean about being bumped.   I got bumped down to one question since my answers to the other questions stated that Cooper jumped and died in the Tina Bar area (which is a long way from Reno).

Core sample would be simple, but I think 1972 is a couple feet above the sand level (mid air) 

we do plan on taking samples....so, don't use the sand from your gift and try and tell me you dropped it 

That raises a basic question. What is left of the 1972-80 beach? Tom seems to be saying 'nothing'. So core samples today would not even find the old beach. Tom seems to be saying the old beach was long gone by 2008, and we have no metric on annual erosion at T_Bar other than annual gauge levels (71-80) which provide no direct data on beach erosion. Estimating erosion at T_Bar is a crap shoot. All we have is shoreline photo comparisons (Kaye). So core samples today would be useless.

Can you imagine the wash down theory that takes the money to Tina Bar from that drop zone??? They conveniently left the money find out of that little scenario.

I'm pretty sure he believes it's a plant. I don't know if the old article about him is still running...
