All other issues are just psycho-babble and interference to me.

Then gloss over the comments if you don't like the topic and keep your thoughts to yourself. I, along with others responded to a post made surrounding the money location.

So I will now bow to your pressure and not post about the money from here on out!  You now lose everything I can contribute! The new limnologist I hooked up with is now gone too! Its your forum and your rules and your people!  ................. which is all fine with me because its one giant headache less in my life. Its totally beyond belief what you hope to accomplish by this except for total anarchy! Good luck.

who knows ... maybe in another 20 years of people bickering yawl will come with something. I doubt it.

I'm going to explain this one more time...

I don't need another moderator telling people what they can or can not post. nobody put any pressure on you other than telling you to ignore any comments you don't wish to get involved with. topics come and go on every forum that leaves you plenty of room to start a different topic vs what has been posted in the recent past.

Not one person is stopping you..

Im not trying to be a Moderator. I dont want to be a Moderator. But I do need to state what I see and think when it comes to issues like the money find.

I have no solution to this. I am a spectator in this whole morass ...

It's very simple..if you don't wish to get involved with a current topic, then don't say anything. your approach turns people off from posting. everything has been discussed a million times over..

Georger,

You obviously have a lot of knowledge and that’s important.

But you don’t need to state that something is “psycho-babble and interference”.  You can’t lob a grenade like that and then claim that you’re just an observer…

If you disagree with something then either be polite and factual about it, or just bite your tongue.

Sarcasm and insults really turn people off, and there’s a ton of it on this forum.

Believe me, I understand, because I used to be the same way (I’m also a physicist/engineer).

It took me a while to figure out why people kept getting mad at me...  I thought “being diplomatic” was BS.  It’s not…

But, it is my opinion based on years of observation of people ...  its like when the FBI, or a lead agent, formulates/promulgates a message for the press  about how money got to Tena Bar, in spite of the fact nobody believes the message being 'fed' the press.   That is “psycho-babble and interference”. We hope to do better at forums. We promulgate the idea that this is open discussion where ideas, facts, and pressers are scrutinized.

But your point is taken and the terms were not directed at you personally. Now if you can come with a means for us to date the diatoms Tom found, for God's sake contact somebody! This has been batted around privately for months. Cesium is off the table, for one. High water levels over 10ft at TBar, when they happen, are in tandem with early diatoms. See the attached .... any ideas you have are welcome so far as I am concerned. Thanks.

ps* Digest TK's pdf thoroughly. It seems to be at the center of people's attention right now ... there is some there that has to be leveraged, if possible.

Let's get back on topic...

The images I posted show that the money find would have been located in the dredge spoil deposit location the USACOE calls "96.6".

The question is:  was the money part of the spoils? Or was the money already there and then simply covered and/or mixed in with dredge spoils later.

Another question: if the money was part of the 1974 dredge spoils, then it would have been exposed to river water for nearly 3 years. How were only spring/summer diatoms found on the bills?

I'm going to post some more images from my FOIA request later. I have to resize them.

This is not accurate. the northern spoil is just past marker 97. the end of the northern spoil is around the ending of the angled path leading to the beach. 96.8 sounds more accurate. it's just not close to the money..

Even your X is away from the spoil..

In the last picture I sent, there are two areas of dredge spoil deposits shown. The first one is to the south marked "97.1. The second, larger area is just north of there, designated 96.6. You can see the areas marked in the dashed lines. The money spot clearly falls within this area. I'll post the picture again.

Chaucer, I have enlarged your attachment as much as possible to identify landmarks.  And your "X" seems to be clearly north of the berm or road that leads off to the northeast from Tena Bar and also slightly north of the Fazio property line.

Those two semi-circles to the south of your "X" are dredge deposits.  And the most northern semi-circle appears to be in the area of the Tena Bar gate and several hundred feet from the "X" mark.

I must confess that I have had plenty of trouble in the past making sense of some of the photographs and helicopter videos and in matching them with the landmarks that I have seen at Tena Bar in several visits there.

Shutter, that is an excellent picture.  Just keep in mind that the beach has now eroded until the water's edge is about halfway or more to the Tena Bar gate.  That is, the sandy part is very narrow now and very close to the road that heads north from the Tena Bar gate.
