Speculation can often confuse and weaken things. you can't really learn from speculation. that's like being told you think 2 + 2 = 5.
Yes, lots of speculation is in this case. if you use it you need to try and back it up. we have a vault loaded with a lot of questions that can be answered. it takes time to try and get up to speed with others since so much is to be learned weeding out a lot of false claims or speculation some read about the case. nothing wrong with discussing what might be in the mystery bag Cooper had but what will it achieve in solving the case. was any of the copycats caught with first aid kits and survival gear? not a lot of criminals think that far ahead.
If he had goggles and gloves where do we go from there. did that make his jump successful? so many things can go wrong.
I've been at this for years and I'm still not sold he made it. it's a strong possibility he did but just can't call it.
People think I'm foolish to try a test surrounding the placard. I want to see how the torn placard reacts to one that isn't damaged. others need different data from the test. this is being kept off the board for now. I've been grounded for two weeks and currently underwater. we got over 12 inches of rain dropped in a very short period. as of today a lot of the water has disappeared. the winds are a factor as well.
Although it’s pure speculation as to what was in the bag Cooper brought aboard, it’s clearly factual that he did bring it aboard and he didn’t leave it on plane. So I think it’s common sense to speculate that he brought it with him for a reason. If anyone thinks he brought an empty bag aboard, that’s being naive! JMHO Also he did come up with a knife in which he used to cup parachute ropes. Nobody observed a knife on his person so it’s not preposterous to speculate it could have easily came from the mysterious bag ! So I ask the question why should we not assume that perhaps he brought bag along for a reason. I think again it’s just Common sense To assume the bag contained something ! So what do I feel this all could possibly contribute to the case ? Well for one thing so many people assume Cooper jumped into the cold damp night in sandals and almost certainly met certain death as he was so unprepared ! To me that’s total speculation also ! Do we know that to be factual ? The existence of the bag tells me that it’s ALSO very possible that he did come far more prepared than the FBI had ASSUMED ! To me it’s all about how you look at something. I’m on jury duty next month here in Lewis County. I’d like to think I would enter any trial with an open mind. Many cold cases are solved by detectives having inquiring minds ! The existence of Cooper’s bag is fair game to wonder why he brought it and what COULD have been in it !
Just my 2 cents worth Shutter but I’m very interested in your placard testing and I applaud your efforts !
Unknown to many posters here I’ve done a few things regarding this case and will quietly try to continue to do so.
Due to the spirally acceleration of Coronavirus Cases here in Cooper country and my age, I’m staying pretty inactive.
Hopefully I will be attending the 50 th anniversary of the Cooper Caper in person next year ! Stay Safe !
