I’m a firm believer it was a result of dredging.

Well Trapper, I also believe it's possible the dredge has a part in this but I can't state that due to not knowing what the pump will do with the money...I have some proof from companies stating it's possible, but that's about it...

Your an environmental guy right? do you guys have any contacts with dredge companies?

Another approach from this forum and its Senior members

Trapper(JohnMD),
When I first found this site, I too, was miffed at the sarcasm and inappropriateness of responses to new views.... heck, I got burnt alive for my belief here in Gunther's LeClair....  but then I had an epiphany....    this dry humor, actually serves a real function....  for it fills the void, with no solve coming soon, and assuages the subconscious fear of all its futility.  The humor is also a release of sorts, for the frustration of it all, knowing there will be likely no prosecution (per FBI stance).  So, to put things on an even keel, humor is interjected with fact and effort.   It is best, in this writers opinion, to embrace the smugness and wit.   Embrace it all, regardless if its coming, say, from a mechanical engineer now unemployed daytrader, from the former NY Giants QB, from yente with stage fright, from tenured professors in cornland, from even murderer felons like Rackstraw posing as a woman (nickyb), etc.  Never take it personal, and never waver from any belief you may have, because it'll be tested here. Keep on your course.   ;D

#dicespeaks

Look! You want candor and truthfulness? "tenured professors in cornland" is a personal attack - plain as the nose on your face  - AND TOTALLY UNWARRANTED! It serves no useful purpose and we do not tolerate bs like that here - no personal attacks, from anyone and that includes me! Don't you agree?

Dont misinterpret my humor or anyone's humor here. Yes, sometimes it is due to frustration - we all have lives and sometimes frustrations of the day do show themselves here (on any given Tuesday).

Bottom line is we are all trying to make some progress in the Cooper case. Anyone is free to make their contribution and express themselves as they are able and think appropriate ... and that even includes you, sir! That is why your smugness has been tolerated so far!

The people gathered here represent a very broad cross section of humanity and backgrounds. In general people do not try to impose themselves, talk over others, seek dominance over others, claim special status, threaten others, or state unwarranted personal evaluations of others,  etc etc etc etc.

Your personal evaluation of others and their status or motives, might just be wrong! ??

Please continue and thank you.

 8)

Whatever the 'cause' is you have to account for the facts. Bundles on surface, fragments at various depths to three feet down, spread over at least a 20-40 yard area. Those are the facts.

If you want to dispute those facts for some reason please do so.

Fact: It even stumped Palmer. First he said money arrived just several months ago in 1980. Then he said 'within a year - 1979' and he cited a hydrologist report for high water in the Washougal. Then, he backed off again saying: 'well, within the last couple of years'. Then faced with more questions from agents he backed off even further saying: 'well, maybe it arrived early'! This is not my opinion - this is described in the FBI report Tom and I received.

You can't have one ping pong ball found at three feet deep, then a ball or two at 2 feet, then balls at the surface, without multiple washins or something like the dredging accounting for this mixture at different depths = different times. That mix is why most people answering the polls here say the dredging is 'the best fit with the known facts'.

Do I accept the dredging theory as the cause? No. Im still waffling and dont like that one bit!

The photo we need is about January of 75. this would show how much sand was pushed around on the beach..the tractor also has a backhoe, I'm wondering if they transported some of the material? it would make sense vs pushing from one location.

I take it the Fazio's never took any pics of the spoils?

No picture from 75 or the Fazios has surfaced to date. That is why I looked at the 9/6/74 photo more closing and see contours or tractor tracks in the north pile. No similar tracks in the south pile. They may have let the south pile slump and settle as is? Photo attached.

BTW, I talked to the USGS to see if there had been any tremors or seismic events which could have caused sand mixing at Tina Bar 1971-80. The answer came back no. The St Helens blowoff came after the money was found in 1980...

For any Catch 22 fans....In bizarro world, rather, Cooper World, an army major major is instead called a meyer meyer.
Thus, Meyer Meyer Meyer.

Ha!  LOL.  That's pretty major, Major.

That's pretty major, Major.

In the book there was an army officer named Major Major, and his army superiors deliberately kept promoting him, until finally he was a Major Major, thus Major Major Major Major....   a great book, I still get a chuckle thinking of Alan Arkin as Yossarian.....

we need to crack this somehow. I know several things that could be done but it would take FBI cooperation to do it.

Trapper,
I'm no senior member on this forum as you no doubt know. However i really detest the fact that I never have to show anyone my ID or AARP card anymore to get those senior discounts ! I really appreciate your offers and i can't wait to meet you. If nothing else, I'm excited to go on a boat ride. Just give some of these forum seniors some time and trust me...... they will put you to work. LOL. Behind the scenes I can pitcher them dreaming up projects as I type. BTW This Cooper caper sometimes becomes a very frustrating mystery so I love the comedic humor at times.

Kermit, a boat ride it will be.  It’s important to note my vessel does not age discriminate and has more than enough thrust to pull a water skier.  So, you are more than welcome to bring the ski’s LOL
