People involved in newsworthy events often conflate facts and have inaccurate recollections.

Many attendees at the famous Summer of Love concert in SF's Golden Gate park in 1967 swear they heard Janis Joplin perform.

Janis and her band were in LA that weekend.

Drugs? Memory distortions? Who knows. But Janis definitely didn't perform there.

According to the document, the money arrived at "the office" in a black leather satchel by security officer by the name of Frank J. Burns. the bag was removed and the seal was cut by Willian C. Grinnell, another security officer from the bank. the money was opened to verify cash was in the bag, but wasn't counted. it was then handed over to Al Lee...

The bag was one foot by one foot by eight or nine inches...no Loren Peterson mentioned..

which document? arrived at what "office" ?

Peterson does say part of what he's telling WSHM is 'what I heard'. But the rest is 'I did this, I did that. Joe May told me to ...', 'Joe May did this, did that...'.

Meyer, please stop your personal attacks on Flyjack. They are hard for readers to avoid, and are toxic and unpleasant to see on a near-daily basis.

You preaching to me about toxic and unpleasant.... yeah, okay -- give me a couple of minutes to process that .......... I'm  back.  Okay Bruce...I'll lighten up, just for you.  Besides, I'm running  out of nicknames for FLYJACK -- there's just so many ways you can do that.

My earlier comment on "Loren Petersen" still stands.  Nothing in the attachment to Shutter's post supports Petersen's account of what went on at the NWA operations in Seattle the evening of the hijack.  Instead, Shutter's attachment supports the previous well advertised facts on what happened there.

Shutter, what is a url that will take me directly to the Peterson interview?

It has been buried here somewhere or it's been moved? and I have no idea where it's at!

I need to be able to direct the Pres of the NWAH history museum to that video and I can't do that without a url?

HELP!

Did Gwen id Peterson for you? It may be a Loren M Peterson of Seattle who is now deceased ?

Im still trying to connect to May ... Joe May ... a million of them in WA.

We need to find out who these people were exactly and their roles if any at NWA ... this is too important to sit on and guess about. I am shocked Fred Poyner the XVIV and Gwen (Perkins?) didnt follow this up and get to the bottom of this. Im shocked this escaped the attention of writer GG and BS.

"They say it was gathered from several banks, but that's not true," says Peterson.

The FBI showed up at air freight, Peterson says. "And what a bunch of characters,"

"He tied it with rope and says he swears he put $250,000 in it, not $200,000 like the FBI says."

In my defense, at that time I was busy trying to make contact with Bill Mitchell, and to ascertain if GG actually spoke with the real Bill Mitchell.

Nevertheless, I do agree that Peterson's recollections are important to pursue.
