Tom emailed back last nite. he was here, but didn't post. I'm hoping he will show up again today and make a comment. one part we did speak about was the photo I have with brian, and the helicopter view. he seems to agree with my findings. I would like him to verify this on the forum though.

Shutter:  You did a very nice job on Your latest video of Tina's Bar find and nice music to go with it too. Keep up the good work and maybe something will break loose in the DB Case soon.

Im amazed at your ability to identify landmarks in the various photos and relate one to the other ... that helps!

I don't know, I've always been able to do things like that. I never thought of it as anything special..

Maybe I have the ability to do "Remote Mapping"  ;D :D ;) :)

So, can we say with any certainty that today, the spoils still exist, were buried or they eroded away?  I don't see them in any current images of the bar.

No question a good percentage of it had moved somewhere. The history of that shoreline is erosion and replenishment, with modification over time. The perfect place to never prove anything and still be a rock star doing it!  :o ;) ;)

What was the conclusion of this agent who wrote a book (Mike McPheters) discussing the money find.?

Quote
"While sifting through a parcel of the beach assigned to me, I turned up portions of soil containing pieces of paper currency approximately two inches wide, but still containing serial numbers that matched Cooper's demand money.

I preserved each piece as evidence by storing them in plastic bags, tagging them with my initials and the date and case number. I kept digging. By late that night and with the help of a good rake, I had found numerous pieces of the money, all of which matched up. I documented my discovery as one of the most interesting reports I had ever written."

I would suggest that this is conclusive proof that a "debris field" of fragments did exist just under the top layer of sand.

In my opinion, the three bundles plus the fragments suggests that they all arrived at the same time (all within a period of a day or so).  It also suggests that they all came out of the money bag at essentially the same time.  And that means that the money bag, and perhaps other items associated with Cooper, moved down the river at the same time.

If dredging materials were placed upstream of the money find location, and if Dr. Palmer and Tom Kaye did not find any evidence of those dredgings at the money find location, it suggests to me that the money probably arrived prior to the dredgings.

Shutter, Which Mike McPheters' book are you referring to?  He has several listed on Amazon.com.

Palmer and Kaye have different conclusions. Palmer claims to show the dredge layer, but Kaye, actually, others included claim the sand, or dredge material wasn't pushed that far up the beach.

McPheters doesn't really give enough information about how many pieces were found, and logged. I read on the DZ that snowmman brought it to Bruce's attention.

Bruce, did you ever follow up trying to contact McPheters?
