If you recall, GC said he had a neighbor who knew the Ingram's former drug dealer, who also was supplying DB Cooper, alive and hiding in another community. Cooper wanted the FBI off his back after being on the lamb for so many years. According to GC, his neighbor said Cooper and his drug dealer conceived the plan of planting money at Tina Bar to convince people Cooper was dead. The drug dealer convinced the Ingrams to make the plant. This may be the guy Grey Cop was talking about (his neighbor)?

What if we asked all people presenting suspects, to tell us what their suspects tell us about the Cooper case - we did not already know? * I mean the real DB Cooper would know things nobody else knows - correct? Likewise, suspect promoters should know things about the case nobody else knows? This is the process we put suspect promoters through anyway. It is 'facts of the case' that usually defeats most suspect promoters as their claims are examined. Asking suspect promoters to tell us things we did not already know should be easy for a *real Cooper candidate holder. It seems a small requirement suspect promoters should have to satisfy ...

I like it.

Said another way - presenting a Cooper suspect should require a knowledge of the suspect sufficient to also tell us stuff about Cooper that is not known currently.

For instance: bodily markings not visible while wearing clothes, blood type, back ground, education, former girl friends and lovers, where Cooper learned about the jump-ability of 727s

Hey Cooper-sleuths,

Info on a guy that was an old friend of my uncle. Here is story as I know it. My uncle claimed to have known a guy name George Bell from New York City in the late 90's. Brooklyn or Queens. He said the guy hinted about being involved in a major unsolved crime back on the late 60's or early 70's. My uncle thought he was tied up in the Lufthansa heist and did not ask any questions. The guy lived ok. Had a job but always seemed to have more money than he should. Was not flashy with it but for his job with a moving company, he was always buying rounds when he was drinking with the boys. He was an army vet who had plenty of jump experience. Even though my uncle never jumped he was intrigued by it. George had a bad shoulder and said he initially hurt it jumping back in the 60's. He led a relatively solitary life. Had a few friends but mostly kept to himself. No family to speak of. My uncle lost touch with him about 7 or 8 years ago. Uncle passed a couple years ago. I remember hearing stories about his buddy George. Never met the guy. When a special aired on tv about DB Cooper, my uncle laughed and said that looked a little like George. My aunt and I were talking the other day and she also mentioned George in passing. I asked how old George was and she guessed that he was born in the early 40's. That may have made him a bit young to be DB. I had looked online a couple of years ago and never found anything about him.

Fastened to the walls were a bear’s head, steer horns and some military pictures of planes and warships. Over the couch hung a photo sequence of a parachutist coming in for a landing, with a certificate recording George Bell’s first jump in 1963. (from NYT)

Ironically, I read the piece on George Bell's passing in the NYT a week or so ago. He was one of 50,000 New Yorkers to die alone in NYC last year. It took a week for first responders to find his body. Apparently, there is a special squad for doing this kind of work. The article featured the two squad members who attended to Mr. Bell. Maybe I should be taking to them, too...

Yup, it's a doozy. Well-written and superbly researched, too. Hard to image that author NR Kleinfield would miss any Norjak details.

And R99, you are correct. "Stocky, 210," doesn't match Danny Boy.

Plus, George was 29 in 1971. DOB was January 15, 1942.

Take look at the article Vicki linked. George Bell's physical appearance absolutely does not match D.B. Cooper.

It wont matter. He could look like a gorilla with one arm and no legs and they would still put him forward ... based on "reliable" averted imagination. Definitely worth including in somebody's book or tv solution, the lost and informed will spend time on. The world is full of captive suckers who have no out.
