Apologies for the slight change of subject. But I'm becoming increasingly interested in WILLIAM GOSSETT

Gossett looks disconcertingly similar in appearance to the DBC sketches. I found it absolutely eery TBH.

Gossett also ticks the boxes the FBI seem to place a lot of stock in - his eye colour is correct and his height is near as darn it correct too.

Bruce has already mentioned other aspects of Gossett, including that he was about the right age, was a former paratrooper, was in the right place at the right time to have encountered the Dan Cooper comic, and to top it all off, confessed to the crime as well.

I'm not suggesting the above points make him DB Cooper, but he sure ticks a few boxes.

My question to the learned here is: What are the most obvious downsides to William Gossett having been Cooper???

When searching the DZ forums, I used the search terms of CKRET GOSSETT and pulled up two pages of information.

Aahhh...the days when information was shared and members of the forum worked together.

Heading there now. Much appreciated.

The BIGGEST downside by far is: (a) RobertMBlevins !

In other words: it will give RobertMBlevins yet one more opportunity to launch one more of his MEGA-WARs lasting months if not years, against somebody Blevins has already declared is his No.1 mortal arch enemy from birth! A Jihad of major proportions. JO WEBER will join in without mercy! So .. before launching this war call the Pres. of the United States, The National Security Council, the U.N., Danielle 1010, Bruce Smith, and all greys on Planet Aamazon!

That is the minimum that will happen.   ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) Gaur-ohn-teed!

 :)

RoJo are not posters here yet are they?

(kinda did a Hollywood thing there by joining them a bit like "Brangelina" - apologies in advance)

Are we not therefore safe to discuss William Gossett here? He seems to fit the mould reasonably well from the little I know about him.

Anyone game to discuss him  8)

Gossett should be discussed. I agree. But it will inevitably involve others who will inject themselves who have their own agenda and platform on DZ - that's all I am saying. The extent they will go to - who knows. ?  Just go for it and see what happens. RMB and Jo aren't coming here in any event. That much is per-ordained so you are safe from personal attack here.  :)

Gossett, as I see it:

Upside:
1. Galen has a ton o' stuff
           - weight, height, attitude, experience
           - confession

Downside:
1. No concrete evidence
2. Wolfie was a bullshit artist

Maybe Galen could just tell us where he currently is on the Gossett story? I'm assuming only Galen really knows.

Geez, Georger, I thought it was Ken Christianson.  That's always been my subtle angle to this case.  I'm waiting for the Auburn wind generator to sign as my co-author so I can join Skipp in detention.

Galen,

A certain dragon woman accused me of being you more than once, back at DZ. I don't think she apologized for her error either? Perhaps she still thinks I am you? I didn't hang around long enough to find out.

I gotta tell you, when I first saw a picture of William Gossett beside the FBI's likeness of DBC I went weak at the knees. You could hardly expect to get a closer match to the Gossett picture if you asked Tina and Flo to sit down and help prepare a sketch of Gossett.

Gossett appears to tick many boxes. I'm looking for his achilles heel but haven't found it yet.

Can you enlighten us a little about Gossett and some of the pros and cons about him being DBC? I'm not asking for a draft of your book. Just some thoughts mate.

(I better tone down my enthusiasm for Gossett as a Cooper suspect or people around here might start accusing me of being you)

Eighteen-C, if you think Gossett's a match, wait til you see Don Burnworth. Check out his pix at the Mountain News, DB Cooper section, pix of suspects story. Or email me.

Don even did eight days in the hoosegow and he says it was because the FBI was trying to make him sweat out a confession.  However, the San Mateo County Sheriff says it was because he was found in contempt of court for taking his kids away from their mom during a custody battle.

You make the call.

BTW 18-C, in case you are Galen Cook, he said that he's buying the next time we meet. Fish Tale Pub, Olympia, WA.

He also said that he was gonna pay back that $500 I loaned him, too, so please bring the cash as well.

Assuming I am Galen I'll sit down to his (my?) book tonight and read up on William Gossett  ;)

18C was an empty seat.  Mitchell used it to try and lure Tina over.  DB was across the isle in 18E having his Raleighs lit by Tina.  It was a Bogey and Bacall moment with the college kid watching.  Bruce, I used the $500 to set-up the Skippy fund.  He's now safe in seclusion, far, far away from his co-author....... who's so stumped by your direct examination that he uses thousands of childish words, to hide from you.  Way to go, Uncle Brucie.

Seems 18C came up empty here too regarding William Gossett. I'm detecting a firm wait for the book by your non-response.

A few months ago, I came to the conclusion that he is only is here to bash Blevins. Nothing else. He does not answer questions or elaborate on anything regarding his suspect.

Georger,
I'm curious why you're still concerned about RobertMBlevins.

Over the last couple of weeks or so, there has been more discussion on this site than DZ and almost everything on DZ has been from Jo, or Bruce trying to get Robert to answer his questions on Tina.  If it weren't for that, DZ would be pretty quiet.

Other than DZ, where can Robert direct himself into the discussion?

Thanks Mark, I hope we can move on from this whole matter with Blevins. Georger, I would appreciate if you respond to Mark that you do it in the off topic thread. lets try and stay focused on the case, and where things are being posted. I drift off too, so I'm not perfect either. I don't like the way Robert operates anymore than the rest, but I'm not going to clutter up this site with his problems.
