Hahneman hijacked a plane from Allentown, PA

If you're saying that was his 2nd hijack, why did he go all the way to Portland for the first hijack?

I can only speculate, but I believe Cooper initially wanted to fly to Mexico and jump outside the US. His actual jump was not his original plan he adjusted when Reno was negotiated.

He specified Mexico City or Mexico..he agreed to Reno after several alternatives were given...after he was told they couldn't make it without stopping..

Yes, I know.. I believe that he didn't want to land in the US, when that was inevitable he decided to jump before that happened.

I doubt he ever would of jumped anywhere near the location given. kind of stupid. he basically bluffed.

Hahneman demanded things and got them. why didn't he demand the knapsack he originally wanted?

You are just asking for speculation..  who knows, it was his first hijacking. (if Hahneman)

I have heard the bluff (speculation) and it makes no sense. Nobody would make a demand that they knew was not achievable and would be refused. Cooper wanted his initial demand. Mexico for refuelling nonstop (before Honduras)

Hahneman had his plane fly to Mexico then ordered it to loop over Belize before jumping in Honduras.

It's not really a bluff. why give away where you are jumping. he just fooled them by saying Mexico. just like all the other suspects you run on speculation and similarities.

Do you even have a records of his whereabouts on the week of the hijacking?

That still makes no sense.

I haven't found out where he was that week, but he was a loner who was never home with his family, gone for months or years.. He was home for Christmas 1971 and claimed to have brought gifts from the Orient.

Just more speculation. no proof what so ever of Cooper's actual destination including going anywhere past Mexico city.

Hahneman had his plane fly to Mexico then ordered it to loop over Belize before jumping in Honduras.

Several testified Cooper seemed "undecided" about where to go. Except he didnt seem to want his plane to stop anywhere in the USA -= he stipulated that several times before naming any destination. (read the testimony).

What Cooper failed to do or even speak to was the fuel consumption of a 727 under the settings he demanded! That is a major disconnect. Ratczk then explained and Cooper gave in leading to the choice of Reno for refueling. That doesn't sound to me like a mistake Hahneman would make given the technical background you have specified for him. .

If you can't explain where he was you don't have anything to go on except speculation and assumptions..the suspect pool is loaded with them.
