re: Kenny Christiansen

I'm sure I've read KC continued to work part time for Northwest Orient for many years after the DBC hijacking. Assuming just for a minute KC was DBC - and I know that will be a stretch for most of you here - how much sense would it make to return to the airline and exposure yourself to so much likely-hood of being identified?

(there is much I wasn't around for here in the way of posts so apologies in advance if this was covered last week, last month etc)

That is just one of the many reasons to believe that KC was not Cooper. Actually, I know of no reasons to think that he was Cooper. None.

Kenny flew with NWO for 20 years after the Cooper skyjacking, trekking mostly to Japan and Hong Kong.  Now, we have Tina saying that she flew routes to the Orient after the skyjacking.

Go figure.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a veiled attempt by Tina to tell us that Kenny is not the guy.

Kenny is coming up on a decade of trying to be a suspect. to many people in the background not coming forward on one of the greatest unsolved mysteries. nobody can validate anything. one person speaking for many. red flags all over the place. Lyle doesn't put any of this together until after his brother dies? they seem to have been close, so one would think the subject came up many times. It's for sale, but I'm not buying it.  8) it's more like building a business than anything else. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I think Paul's side kick registered on DZ. a new member posted comments leading to Kenny using his address, and how many feet it was to his post office box, or something like that to explain why he sat in row 18. it could only be someone from his side  :D ;D

I saw that and chuckled. So let me ask, in the same vein ...

Did Kenny paint his finger and toe nails?  What color his underwear?  Im sure it has to be relevant ... to the screenplay.

It makes no sense whatsoever if KC had been DBC that he'd take such a risk being identified, and for 20 YEARS!

If Tina had encountered him, and he was DBC, how long would it have taken her to identify him? 30 seconds? A minute?

Wasn't sure which thread to post this one under but settled for here.

Recently read the suggestion that Richard McCoy was perhaps the on-the-ground accomplice of D.B. Cooper, and it's probably an idea that shouldn't be completely discounted. Particularly when you factor in McCoy's credit card was used in Las Vegas on November 24th 1971, and the collect call that was made to his home from a pay phone from near McCarran Airport later that same day.

Perhaps after having worked with Cooper 5 months earlier, McCoy thought he'd give it a go himself, and as we've seen he used almost the exact same modus operandi. In fact, probably a more refined version, because he ensured he had far more appropriate gear for the jump.

Do we know how much McCoy could have possibly known of the specifics of DBC's hijack in the 5 short months before his own?

I don't think Kenny was anything other the average working guy. he did what many people do about there jobs, and that was to complain. it gets shifted around as a motive. Cooper said he didn't have a grudge against the airline, but that doesn't stop him. Tina also said she had to look up at Cooper. Tina is the same height as KC. Robert works real hard trying to link Bernie Geestman with Kenny. If you watched Decoded they say at the end that Bernie was NOT the accomplice putting a huge hole in the whole thing. Bernie and his ex wife obviously don't get along, so making things up about each other can not be over looked. all the negatives can go on, and on with KC as a suspect.  8)

If McCoy was the ground man I can assure you it would have been different in many ways. Cooper never gave any specific directions other than Mexico. If Cooper did plan on jumping early everyone is waiting in the wrong spot miles away south. I think it's possible it was the opposite, and McCoy said let me show them the right way to do this.

I've heard a lot about the Decoded show on KC. But I've never seen it. Reason being, even thought it's on Youtube, it can't be accessed in my region (Australia). When you click on any shortcut to it, and there are plenty, it just comes up with a message and doesn't play. The best I've been able to find is a copy in French that does play but I can't understand a bloody word  >:(

How did they discount Geestman as having been the accomplice and still maintain KC was DBC?

You may well be right. But McCoy having played a part in Flight 305 is a tantalizing thought. Anyone else give the idea any credence?

When I click on the go button the screen remains black and a very annoying female voice repeats "This content is currently unavailable" as many times as you care to listen.
