My advice? Keep it classy. You will far further.
Dumb advice I know but . . . cows give milk when fed and content...

I would like to see proof of any of this. it's really no different than Cooper evidence. people want to see something valid. if it's all true, I'll be glad to support the issue. as it stands right now, I don't see anything that can be used against what Robert is claiming. it's the old "he said, she said" thingy. Robert is claiming it's not true, while you are claiming things to be true. it's going nowhere.

If you have something of value you can post it. please do it under another topic such as " Totally Off Topic" I would be more than happy to see something about this, but I need proof before it goes onto this site.....I'm sure I don't have to remind people I'm currently in my own battle of false accusations. it's not funny at all, and I don't like it one bit.

Thank You.

Agreement here.

What about this new guy on the block, or should I say. new kid on the block. I read on DZ were he admits limited knowledge of the case. how could this be if he researched for six years????

Great question for Bruce. He met with Sean Walsh. the author of "D.B. Cooper Final Suspect: Duane Dick Jarman," over a few beers, from what I understand.

I had a short dialog going on with him on his Facebook page. I checked today and the page is gone.

I asked him a few standard questions and he seemed to just skim over them with some short answers. Here is the last bit of conversation we had:

    • D.B. Cooper Final Suspect: Duane Dick Jarman; I have contacted them with the information I have. Since they are not putting resources toward it I will need to work to develop Duane as a viable suspect worth looking into

His page is gone? something in the kitchen isn't cooking at temperature again.

1) Facebook page disappears.
2) Not much knowledge of the case.
3) Only two people have talked to the author.
4) Vicki couldn't find anything on the suspect.
5) I'll give it a chance, but flags are a fly'n  8)

A station in Texas picked up the story on the new suspect....

Interesting....Amazon.com and the UK version both give 404 error's where his book is suppose to be on sale?

Wordpress.com shows the author removed the story?

The You Tube video is also gone?

Did this guy realize he wasn't going to get very far with a fabricated story?

ADDED.....

I just checked again. it appears the new suspect is no longer a suspect, or a story. everything is gone.
I just called Kiii-TV they didn't even know about the story. they said it's probably a wire feed.

Scam possibly? why all of the sudden did he take everything down. did you guys scare him lol

Apparently he used a service called PRWEB.

"PRWeb gets your story onto major news sites like Google News. We also distribute your news release to more than 250,000 subscribers and as many as 30,000 bloggers and journalists."

Since Vicki couldn't find anything on the suspect. I'll bet the name was made up along with the story.....

My bet is that he had no idea that there were forums like this one and DZ, in which people would look into his story with great detail.

Apparently Sean Walsh has dropped the whole thing. I emailed him last nite. here is his response.

"releasing the info helped lead me to some determinations that allowed me to retrace some of my steps and rule out my suspect.

thanks, -sean"

I guess after a "six year" investigation he couldn't figure this out? I also found it strange that he didn't know anyone, or anything about these forums. I guess Washington writers have to be watched from now on! 2 out of 2.....not good.

I think the bigger lesson from Sean's experience is that we don't know what we don't know. And he didn't.

He had a family story to tell, and he told it. It took him six years because he is young - his "six years" most likely started in high school. He's never done much research and he was never a journalist. Plus, he had the turmoil of a family divorce and remarriage to contend with.

So, give the kid a break. He is an earnest, thoughtful and kind-hearted guy, but clearly inexperienced. Nevertheless, he had the balls to put his story out there, and that has to count for something.

I received an interesting email today from the daughter of the pilot of the United plane Robb Heady hijacked.  "Debbie" said her dad died last week, and she wrote to say that the trauma he and his crew experienced has not been fully told or appreciated.

I agree. This whole area is over-looked in the accounts of the hijackings.

I've encouraged her to tell us of her family's experience, even off the record.  I'll keep you posted.
