I read over some of the things on the website and a few things that I noticed were: his DNA was tested and said to be negative for being Cooper, I didn't see a mention of a grudge, and I haven't seen a connection to the tie.

I'm guessing he's pretty busy but I sent an email asking those questions...
The grudge might be not getting into the CIA when he wanted. I saw something about being informed in a letter that they didn't want him. One cool thing for me is that I am from Michigan and a connection to the Cooper case. In fact my hometown of Saginaw is mentioned in the timeline for a parachuting Club being established, and also where he died Oscoda is where my Mom and Stepdad live. I was there over this past weekend.

Also another issue on Walt is no mention of his height. If anybody has good photoshop skills could they put Walt's pic next to the sketch of Cooper.

Walt's age at the time of the hijacking would be 38. I would like to see a pic of him from 1971.

Here we go again ! Another “ I’m D b Cooper “ tale . Jump aboard I’m sure this ones the real deal ! Me ? I’m waiting for someone to flash me a $20 Cooper Bill !

agreed, but lets see what road this takes us down..not to many impressed with it so far that I've spoken with offline..

That video looks like it was filmed by a drone and the landscape reminds me of Michigan.

Can any of you outdoor types identify those trees and state if they are native of Washington/Oregon or where ever?

That picture has a square jaw, broad nose, wide mouth, and an un-receding hairline, while the sketch has none of those.  Color me as being completely unconvinced.

As soon as I seen the picture I was reminded of John Wayne from the movie "The Shootist" which aired a couple weeks ago. I always watch it when ever it comes on...

For me to believe this guy was Cooper, I would want to see Cooper money, the parachute, and a DNA test that would confirm that he was Cooper.

the only clothing would be the parachute. I think anyone could buy something similar and claim it to be worn by Cooper (shirt, coat etc.)

In regard to his rejection from the CIA serving as the motive, that was my first hunch as well. But that was in 1963. 8 years seems like a long time to pass before acting on a grudge. But who knows. I'm sure there's a lot more to this story that we don't know yet.

As far as the clothing that will supposedly be unveiled today ---- just as Shutter said, I'm not sure how that can hold any water at all. A shirt or coat that dates back to the late 60s or early 70s isn't significant by itself.

Does Walt have any ties to the Pacific Northwest?

I'm intrigued, but a lot of questions remain.

"1974: Getting a new passport under the last name “Reca,” Walt begins to travel internationally."

Anyone else confused by this? Wasn't Reca his last name to begin with?
