The Bulldog is celebrating Roy Moore's defeat. I keep in touch with Sheridan. I can only hope that I look as good and think as clearly as he does when I am in my 90s. He is up to the minute on all sorts of news subjects, reads widely and digs deep.
Sheridan has ALL the skills to have pulled off NORJACK successfully. But he is also a principled person who has experienced severe beatings as a child, seen war atrocities up close and abhors violence. I just can't picture him threatening to kill an innocent crew just to get money.
I think Burnworth is a dead ringer for the FBI sketches. He was also a UAL 727 Captain and had extraordinarily detailed knowledge of that aircraft's systems having authored a US patent on a way to improve the safety of the power distribution buss on 727s. He was broke too.
But for eye color Braden makes a great DBC. The MAC SOG night jungle jumps in Nam were PERFECT training for a NORJACK jump. The included successful ground rendezvous with team members using a simple AM BC band beacon and Japanese transistor radios as DFs.
To this day I wonder how the hell Braden, a Nam combat deserter, was reinstated in the Army with no loss of rank after being arrested as a Merc in Africa. General Singlaub personally intervened. What cards did Braden hold to obtain such an extraordinary outcome?
