Bruce, did Galen present him to the FBI? If so, what was the response? Galen Cook is also writing a book. When will the book be coming out?
Galen says that he has given the FBI GOBS of Gossett stuff over the years, including lots of DNA samples. Galen has also met with Curtis six times, according to Galen, and exchanged dozens of emails. However, Galen and Curtis have not had much contact with each other in recent years. Not sure why. Part of the reason may be that Galen has returned to attorney work and has been busy with medical malpractice cases over the past two years. I'm not sure on the status of the book. I have the sense that Galen wants to solve the case before he writes his book. In effect, he wants his book to be about busting Norjak. That outcome may not come for awhile.
Speaking of which, I was asked on the Podcast if the case can be solved, and I said yes. Here are my reasons:
1. I think DNA testing will continue to become more sophisticated. We may be able to identify DB Cooper from the tie samples at some point. Plus, I haven't given up on the cigarette butts providing some valuable information at some point.
2. I think someone from the FBI will be forthright about the Bureau's actions at some point. Deathbed confession?
3. Someone will really dig into the fingerprint issue and begin to isolate and separate the prints so that we will get a greater degree of identification. We will eventually get DB Cooper's prints one day.
All of this means a shift in investigative focus - away from suspects and more on developing the value of the evidence.
4. Remote Viewing. Some day soon someone will be able to travel through time and space effectively.
