I tried contacting the You Tube channel owner when I first posted the link. I also posted a comment, but nothing has happened contact wise....

I know Gossett isn't viewed as a serious contender by many, but good grief. That's pretty much the same dude.

Are the main strikes against Gossett just his propensity for telling tall tales and for being just a weirdo in general? Whomever DB was, he was certainly someone that thought outside the box and had a good imagination. Gossett being such a weirdo seems to actually work in his favor if you ask me.

Gossett also has the turkey neck (you can see it clearly in that photo posted by Olemisscub) that Bill Mitchell described Cooper as having (at least I think it was Mitchell). Gossett is probably the best match to the Cooper sketch of all the popular suspects. But you can take an eyewitness sketch for what it's worth.

Somebody put pressure on the video owner and had it pulled because it conflicts with Colbert's plant theory.
Colberts whole program is a selective cut and paste with holes you could drive trucks through. That is obvious!

There certainly is a similarity in physical appearance. He had the skill set.

I've yet to see anything that should negate him being a prime suspect.

1) Virtually identical to the sketch
2) Same build, height, and skin tone as DB
3) Was familiar with the area
4) Experienced paratrooper and survivalist
5) Aviation knowledge
6) Was a working man (hijacking on a 4 day weekend)
7) Outside the box thinker

In a conversation during lunch last September 2015, William Mitchell told me that he never thought Cooper looked much like the sketch.

A year prior to or lunch meeting in Oct 2014, Bill Mitchell looked at a video/photos of my father. in an email he stated:

Hi Vicki,
I'm not ignoring you, I'm just been thinking and pondering my response. Again it was 43 years ago and I don't have the clear picture in my mind.  But I do remember my reaction to certain things. (as I told the FBI, I was a sophomore at University of Oregon and couldn't understand why this older guy was getting all the attention from the flight attendant!! I checked him out pretty well )

OK this is what I've come up with, On the plus side his cheeks, chin and neck looked more like what I thought he looked like. I had always thought the composite drawing had his face to thin (emphasis added). That isn't much but that is best I can do.

Then Florence  Schaffner stated that the sketch did not look right. This was in her interview on Unsolved Mysteries and the reason they tried to do a new sketch.

Bruce, did Galen present him to the FBI? If so, what was the response? Galen Cook is also writing a book. When will the book be coming out?

Cook's been talking about that book since 2008. He needs to get on with it!

One of Gossett's sons claims that he blew most of the money at the Casinos. That actually wouldn't be a bad place to get rid of cash if you know that cash is being searched for. A) God knows what happens with Casino cash. Those gangsters might ship that overseas or something. B) It would be impossible to trace where it came from, even if the feds found out about it and traced it to a particular Casino.

Seems like that could actually be a clever way to get clean money over time. Go to a Casino and get $10,000 in chips and play a couple of rounds or hangout for a few hours. You then take those chips back, cash them in, and get fresh, clean currency.

And he told a JUDGE (off the record as a friend). Man was that risky IF he were really DBC. The Gosset photos above look at lot like the FBI sketch but Blevins found a picture from much closer to the Norjack date that showed a portly aging Gosset who did not resemble the sketch.

We have found so many "qualified" DBC candidates, burt nothing ties any of them to the money, chute or plane.

Bruce, did Galen present him to the FBI? If so, what was the response? Galen Cook is also writing a book. When will the book be coming out?

Galen says that he has given the FBI GOBS of Gossett stuff over the years, including lots of DNA samples. Galen has also met with Curtis six times, according to Galen, and exchanged dozens of emails. However, Galen and Curtis have not had much contact with each other in recent years. Not sure why. Part of the reason may be that Galen has returned to attorney work and has been busy with medical malpractice cases over the past two years. I'm not sure on the status of the book. I have the sense that Galen wants to solve the case before he writes his book. In effect, he wants his book to be about busting Norjak. That outcome may not come for awhile.

Speaking of which, I was asked on the Podcast if the case can be solved, and I said yes. Here are my reasons:

1. I think DNA testing will continue to become more sophisticated. We may be able to identify DB Cooper from the tie samples at some point. Plus, I haven't given up on the cigarette butts providing some valuable information at some point.

2. I think someone from the FBI will be forthright about the Bureau's actions at some point. Deathbed confession?

3. Someone will really dig into the fingerprint issue and begin to isolate and separate the prints so that we will get a greater degree of identification. We will eventually get DB Cooper's prints one day.

All of this means a shift in investigative focus - away from suspects and more on developing the value of the evidence.

4. Remote Viewing. Some day soon someone will be able to travel through time and space effectively.
