Shutter, can you please remove my review of Vern Jones' book. I had forgotten that he asked me for "non-disclosure" until he published.

Things have not been good the last couple months. my mom is the strongest person I've come across. she beat breast cancer and then a fractured hip. several weeks ago she had to be rushed to the hospital with stomach and back pains. her intestines flipped and twisted, something I never heard of and was a couple hours from death had she not called out for help. she was in the hospital for about 10 days and released.

The doctor ordered a biopsy a week ago and the results came back for lung cancer. she must under go chemo once again starting on the 19th.

This has taken a toll on me mentally setting me off at the slightest things. the strength my mother has going through all of this is utterly amazing. she just goes with the flow hoping for the best like it's no big deal. she lost a lot of weight with the twisted intestine, she's down to 92 lbs from about 125-130. being in her 80's shows enormous courage and the will to live. I'm very proud of her and her actions and blessed she is my mother..

I'm surprised they gave you an advanced copy of a book that sounds like it's just an attack on Cooper researchers like yourself...

I just counted and realized I have read 10 books relating to D B Cooper. They are all offer different insights and were all well done ! I started with a fictional murder mystery written by a very successful local Author named William Sullivan.
My last reading was By Marty Andrade and it was also well done. In between were books by Bruce Smith, Max Gunther, Geoffrey Gray, Ha, Ha, Ha by DBC, NORJACK, RICHARD Tosaw , D.L Hynes ( Linn) and Robert Edwards.
What have I discovered? I am certain we still have no idea who D.B. Cooper really is ! Unless you believe Cooper was actually about 20 different people, I take all these confessions as nonsense !
I am getting along in age and feeling it. I’m about through with trying to contribute in any way as I think either 2 things could have happened. He could have landed in the Columbia River and drowned and the story is over !
If he survived the jump, he escaped undetected and perhaps is still out there. My Mother and my wife’s Mother both lived to be 98 so it’s possible. Perhaps he’ll leave a mint $20 Cooper bill in his will ! I’ll drink to that !

You were made to violate the NDA. When you testify at trial, tell them about how the govt beamed thoughts into your head. It's not your fault. I will be an expert witness for said beam technology.

     I am going to put you on the spot Kermit, which book was your favorite? I would like to hear more about the book written by the local author.      For that matter I would love to hear more about the locals and the local scene that was happening around that area during the time of the hijacking. I think it might be somewhat related. If you don't feel like discussing it here maybe some day we could discuss it over a plate (bucket?) of oysters. I have always wanted to try fresh raw oysters but I live in Ohio lol. Kinda a bucket list type of thing.

The only local "Cooper book" author that I can think of, besides myself - although I live and work 80 miles northeast of Vancouver, WA - are the Formans, who live ten miles north of me. Then there's always, RMB, another ten miles north of the Formans in Auburn.

Ha, Ha, Ha was written originally in Vancouver, WA, but the author now lives in Sedro Wooley, which is north of Seattle. He admitted that all the Cooper stuff came from the Vancouver newspapers he read in the library.

Doug Perry lives and writes in Portland, though. He's the Portland Oregonian guy.

Oops. How could I forget Himmelsbach. He wrote in Portland. Tosaw lived in Sacramento, but he camped out on the shores of the Columbia for many summers.

William L Sullivan is an Oregon resident in Eugene, Oregon and has written over 20 books. He wrote the novel D.B. Cooper’s parachute which is a murder mystery novel. It’s filled with many factual Oregon and Portland landmarks plus filled with some actual Sports figures prominent in Oregon. It certainly is one of my favorites even though it’s fictional. Mr Sullivan has written about and hiked over 100 wilderness trails in Oregon ! If you want to know anything about Oregon, he’s your man !

Easy to forget Ralph Himmelsbach’s book ! It’s my last favorite ! Why ? Boring, full of obvious inaccuracies !

Max Gunthers book ! Read it ! “ What really Happened ? “. Max Gunther was no amateur! He was very successful and wrote 26 books ! He just might have been contacted by the real Dan Cooper ! I loved this book and it’s top 5 for me . Congratulations on reading 9 of D B Cooper related books !
