Nope. I’m just not a CIA kind of guy. Although in a few of his rants Sheridan Peterson alleged that I was CIA. He was wrong. Maybe it was the pot calling the kettle black.
The CIA was recruiting electrical engineers when I graduated. But it held no appeal for me. I didn’t apply. An EE friend of mine did get a job with the CIA. He described it as a typical fed bureaucracy. Tons of paperwork and, at least for him, no James Bond stuff at all.
I am not convinced that the CIA actually did recruit at Elsinore. Jumpers like to spin stories. Dudeman have you seen any evidence supporting that claim?
Had the CIA offered to train me to fly their A12 aircraft (SR 71 predecessor operated by the CIA) perhaps I would have accepted.
I can’t recall the reg number of the DC 3 used for my SCR jump. I did make many jumps from Skip’s DC 3 N26MA when he brought it to the World Free Fall Convention. I love old propliners. My jumps include many Beech 18s and C 45s. Probably seven or eight different DC 3s, C 54G, ATL 98 Carvair, a 1958 vintage C 130A, Lockheed Lodestar and others. Missed getting to jump from a Lockheed Constellation. Went to three events where Connie jumps were scheduled but the Connie was a no show.
How about you dudeman. Would you have taken a CIA job if offered?
