Dark is bad on the eye's to us old folk  even after leaving the page it gets to your eye's. I had the background posting area in white but can't figure out how I did it or how it switched back.. it's not the ini file, it's the css coding.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about Tina saying in the HBO doc that she had to light Cooper's cigarettes for him because he didn't wnat to take his finger off the "trigger". This isn't some casual mistake made by the producers. This is from the horses' mouth. I know a couple people passed it off, but this is really compelling IMO. Perhaps this was a detail the FBI kept quiet?

Could be a figure of speech. they give pretty detailed description of the bomb and wiring and never mention a device to trigger the bomb. they talk about him making contact with the wires. that could also mean "trigger" a couple events can "trigger" something.

Tina doesn't say a whole lot about talking with Cooper. the things held back could be conversation between the two. they were together for hours and we don't really hear about hours of conversation. the grudge and living in Minnesota is about all that was said for hours?

Not disagreeing necessarily, but the fact that Tina says that he didn't want to take his finger off  the trigger implies he could still use his other hand to put the cigarette in and out of his mouth. Wires would imply that he needed two hands to connect them.

It also struck me how emotionally impacted the crew was - even 50 years later. Rataczak and Scott both teared up in their recounting of the incident. This is why Cooper is no hero IMO. He terrorized an innocent flight crew for hours just to steal money. Frankly, I hope he died in the jump and his last few seconds were spent in complete panic.

It's all in how it was wired. if he didn't put both wires on the battery it would be simple to control. if it was fake it wouldn't matter either way. they would of seen the button when he opened the briefcase. that would of been an easy way and he could of had that sticking out of the briefcase for more control and fear.

Also easy to understand why they would be against all the Cooper parties that happen each year. people seems to put Cooper above what really happened. many think time is acceptable to make him a hero.

I definitely understand the appeal of the folk tale of Cooper, but at its core is a story about a guy who threatened innocent people's lives in order to steal money. In my mind, he's a villain, not a hero. I feel bad for the crew who went through that ordeal.

Flo's original statement states seeing him with a wire in his hand, not a trigger and could detonate the bomb with the bare end of the wire. it sounds like he had the coated wire in his hand and not the uncoated wires described. a small wire leading from the dynamite and not the battery. both descriptions are similar between Tina and Flo. they would have to change both statements. a trigger device would of made it a lot easier to control but doesn't appear to be the case. Tina couldn't recall if the wires were connected to the battery.

I guess it hits everyone. I do see a lot of forums with a black format and white text. those really do a number on the eye's. it's not bad at all if you have a projection screen. laptops and desktop computers get the full effect..it seems to be split here. some don't mind at all..
