Had a block party on a neighborhood golf course tonight ... 200 maybe on lawn chairs? Cops showed up and shut it down about 9pm. Band did great, Zoom handled it, crowd loved it all  ... a good time was had by all except Mr. Grouch  >:D a mile away that complained. (If it goes beyond 9 we have to have a permit ... so we stop at 9 prompt )

 :congrats: :bravo:  to all concerned.

Message from Bryan at the Ariel store today - I had asked Bryan if he (and his Mom) knew anything about the Ariel store robbery... here is Bryan's reply.

"Hi Jerry...

Thanks Bryan!

Gee, I do recall being given a lot of crap for using proper names here. Can't remember by whom...

Obviously it's an oversight - "Army Joe" aka Unsurelock aka . . . . .?      :conspiracy:

Still trying to figure the "Army Joe" thing out. Google brings up nothing. Someone you knew?
*UPDATE -- Ah, okay, someone from the podcast. Still have yet to listen to one. Started to once. No offense, Darren.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!  -  FLYJACK GOES TO  -  HOLLYWOOD !

Without furtherer adue let's FLYJACK let himself explain:

•    #61850

"I myself got news that the party involved in a 40+ year old crime/mystery which I recently solved all by myself is planning a documentary... and they asked if I'd be in it.

For me and myself, this mystery was far easier than the Cooper case but goes on my resume as a major win and gives my crime/mystery solving research and critical thinking skills big cred..  and it is a very very cool story. Just like the Cooper case it was an intellectual puzzle but in many ways it was more satisfying than the Cooper case.. the case was stone cold and I solved it completely on my own but I controlled the process and environment. It wasn't solved by science, it was solved by reasoning and critical thinking myself.

The problem for everyone with a suspect in the Cooper case is the forensics and reliance on the crumbs the FBI gives us.. we don't control forensics and only that will 100% put a suspect on the plane. The best anyone can do is to build a circumstantial case so strong that the authorities are forced to apply the forensics, like I do, if they really want to solve it, as I have. I don't think they do.. at least (not) at the top. "

Further update: I have touched base with a new member I was referring to in the above comment. the posters name is Martin McNally aka Robert Wilson who hijacked a 727 back in 1972 after Cooper. he has no problem answering any questions. however, PLEASE keep his incarcerated years out of the questions and stay on topic to his hijacking or Coopers. that's all he asks.

I have been communicating with him through email..here is his take on the Cooper case in a couple words..."D.B. Cooper --- sure wish I never heard about his case !!!  His shit sure got me fucked up."

Shutter: This is awesome! Just being on a tightly controlled forum like this with someone like Martin will be cool.  A member like him gives good reason to keep membership here really controlled, and civil.

Well, if you're bored and have about 15 minutes. Here's a pleasant little story about our favorite person. And unlike the cover of Gray's book, they even make sure that he don't have his tie on...

Hello, all!

After three tries, I finally got approved as a member. Thanks Nicky and Shutter!

Full disclosure:  I have never hijacked a plane or been in prison, so I am definitely not the most interesting new member. :)

I am a college professor, and I have been conducting academic research into the Zodiac Killer case for the last several years. (No, I don’t think Zodiac and Cooper are the same guy. Totally unrelated cases.) I have followed the Cooper case on and off for a decade. In fact, I used to lurk the old Dropzone forum and marvel at how much more drama there was rather than actual research.

I’m very logical, reasonable, and fact-based. I am not into wild conspiracies or weird contrivances. I excel at uncovering new clues, locating hard to find people, and getting hard to find documents through public records requests (among other means). I’m hoping to bring some of that to this case.

For the record, I don’t have a favorite POI. My theory is that Cooper splashed down in the Columbia and died. Not very exciting, but I think it’s the most logical, reasonable conclusion to draw. That said, I am VERY open to hearing contrary opinions and seeing evidence that contradicts my theory.

Looking forward to being part of the Vortex!

Eric's ponied-up 25K for a Cooper 20

I'm surprised that Eric hasn't posted his news release that he is offering a $25,000 reward to the first person who can deliver a Cooper twenty dollar bill to him that is not from the T-Bar find.

I just posted a YouTube video with details concerning my DB Cooper Bill Initiative referenced by Bruce above.
