Have you ever talked to Lars Larson FM101 talk radio … KXLFM101 ?  There was a day when he was hot in the Cooper market. He interviewed a  lot of people. Dont spend too much time communing with the dead!  ;)

Yup, I have spoken several times, and at length with Lars. He is a very narrowly focused Cooperite. He's 100% in on McCoy, basically because he had a very impactful interview with Russ Calame back in the day and sees Norjak through that lens.

However, Lars motivated me to re-read Calame and Rhodes and re-discover McCoy's trip to NC with $6K that came outta nowhere after Thanksgiving, 1971....

As for communing with the dead, what's wrong with that? Some of those folks have a lot to say!

People say Lars was a Cook clone?  If so thats sad.

I wanted to talk with Lars at length about the case, just to tap his knowledge, but I could never nail him down or get him to answer a phone.

All of that was years ago - the case has moved on for some of us, while many people are still obsessed in the past. You cant put new wine in old skins! Old skins rot.

Sometimes I wonder if my world, which is restricted by Newton, Einstein and what I consider to be immutable laws of thermodynamics, is less joyful  than Bruce's which is unfettered by these laws. Sigh...

It would be so nice to tie up NORJAK neatly and declare that McCoy did both skyjacks. The fact that Tina didn't ID him as Cooper is dispositive to me. I do not believe that McCoy was Cooper. If he was, she would have ID'd him. There wasn't a huge time span between the two skyjackings. Her memories would still be pretty fresh.

I see an increasing media interest in DBC as the 50th-anniversary approaches. Hopefully this will flush out some new evidence. Fingers crossed.

New people will ask:  did Cooper have an LTR - SDR!  You may be one of them.

Anyway... back to DB Cooper. The folks at Minnow Productions in the UK have just told me that their four-hour mega epic on Danny Boy will be airing on HBO in July, and then the BBC shortly thereafter. It features EVERYBODY! It'll be fun to see Jo Weber in her full glory, along with Bobby B, Barb and the gang at Thun Field - in particular the Formans. Not sure about Wolfie or Petey, though.

Jo Weber... *Sigh*

Lars a Cook clone? Hardly. Lars is a resolute, conservative, talk-show host absolutely convinced that McCoy is DBC and has NO interest in discussing any contrary evidence. In stark contrast, Galen Cook is imaginative, expansive, and flexible in his thinking.

Once Upon A Time, Lars was quite chatty with me, as I think he saw me as a possible guest on his show where I could be a convenient foil for his pontification on McCoy. Currently, he barely answers emails.

Oy, Marty. C'mon. Ol' Jo is part of our world.... annoying, cruel, maddening, offensive and mind-numbing - YES. But oh, so, colorful.

One warning: don't let her drive when y'all go out for coffee. Just sayin'.

That said, I do like Jo. Oddly, though, I often want to strangle her, but for different reasons at different times. I find her quite pleasant and enjoyable in person, but she is insufferable with wait staff in restaurants. Then I want to leap across the table and strangle her.

But over the phone when she is rambling on for an hour or two, I simply want to slip a bag over her head and walk away. I know that's not very enlightened for a mystical fellow like me, so I am seeking to perfect my abilities of politely ending conversations before anything felonious occurs that might require a phone call to 377...

... as my supervisor at St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia once told me: "Bruce, you need to meditate more."

As you say, Marty, *Sigh.*

If they don't cover Wolfie or Petey, IMHO two of the most fascinating suspects (though DAMN, Barb Dayton is an epic tale in her own right), I already give it an F. But will watch to see everybody else. This is where we'll find out that Duane was also the Unknown Soldier, the Wandering Jew, James Bond, and the Compte de Saint-Germain. ;)

Jo Weber... *Sigh*

I've decided to make an executive decision in light of the constant snide, condescending and childish remarks from GEORGER leveled at me and others on the Forum.

I have decided to vote with my feet regarding the GEORGER problem. More to the point, I will no longer be involved in the Forum in any manner until GEORGER is permanently banned. This will be effective immediately.

It is up to each of us individually to choose how we care to respond to people like GEORGER, if at all. As for me, I do not care to associate in any manner with GEORGER's type. Therefore, I won't.
Some men see things as they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?
