Here's at least one place where Sheridan posted that he showed the FBI his passport.

For 30 years the FBI searched for me. FBI Agent Mary Jean Fryar, finally tracked me down at Silvercrest Residence, 1050 Third Street, Santa Rosa, CA some 15 years ago. I assume they found me because just prior to that I had joined Veterans for Peace, Post 71. Amy Goodman of Democracy Now said that all peace organizations are infiltrated by the FBI. Fortunately I could prove that I was in Pokhara Nepal at the time of the heist by showing her my passport, trekking permits, and children's birth certificates. I was a prime suspect because I had earned my skydiving instructor's license at Issaqua, Washington where D. B. Cooper got his rigs and because I had been a tech writer at Boeing and thus knew all about the 737.

correct, but had proof..I fail to understand why the next question wouldn't be where is your passport when he told them where he was?

I have no idea what MJ Fryar did or said.

EU and her seem to have long conversations about Sheridan that are as speculative as the wildest poster here. It's hard to see how second-hand stuff about Fryar from EU should be gospel.

Who knows. Like I said, Sheridan is an odd bird. But being an odd bird doesn't justify harassing a 92 year old, when he tells you to back off (or his family). Especially with something as sensitive as talking about a dead family member.

Again, I fail to understand why they wouldn't ask him for his passport. kind of like being a murder suspect and you telling them you own a gun and they don't bother to see it?

As an example of how craziness unfolds:
Sheridan's mention of "737" in that post above would be explained away by EU as "Sheridan gets single numbers wrong" or whatever. Maybe even senility.

But if Sheridan says some random thing that EU can blow up to be something dramatic, like so-called numbered bank accounts (which EU made up out of very thin air)..then EU latches on to that as "True Ink" and goes around having deep dramatic podcast conversations with every deadbeat that will listen to him.

Call me a fool, but I believe Sheridan's post more than anything posted about Fryar and what she saw or didn't see.

He's very anti-govt. The idea that he has to prove anything to anyone, is kind of anathema to him.

Like I don't have prove anything to EU, in terms of knowing how he's an ass.

Could Sheridan be that crazy/clever/conniving? To have passport evidence that he was in Nepal during Norjak and not show it to Fryar?

Maybe he loved the limelight and limbo. If he proved he wasn't Cooper, party over.

In 1971, If you were a US citizen with a US passport in a foreign country that required visas (Nepal and Vietnam did) and you traveled to the USA at some point in time, do we agree that looking at visa and entry stamps in your passport would be enough to say where you were? Assuming you're travelling normally, say by airplane. If you're sneaking over borders, all bets are off. But that seems ridiculous talking about Nepal/USA travel.

I don't see the scenario where the travel back and forth between Nepal and the USA would be possible, by a US citizen, without evidence in a passport.

He had proof he resided in Nepal but presented no proof (other than his statements) of continuous residence and presence there during the skyjack period.

That's my recollection.

Of course, Sailshaw covered this by making up theories with phony passports etc..very James Bond like.

So people are going to speculate forever (Like with Hahneman's brother's death).

But there's no way that justifies harassing a dude.

Sheridan is clever, demented, focused on his book and his idea of truth about Vietnam, anti-establishment, manipulative, a jerk, smart, and stupid.

So yes is a reasonable possibility to any of your questions about his motivations.

He's also very alone, has no friends, although is a very social person. And he knows he's dying.

Hell, if we're going to psychoanalyze: what are my motivations? EU loves to say he reads people and he knows my motivations exactly!

Hey snowman take it easy on the name calling will ya? Darren host of cooper vortex podcast is a personal friend and great guy, definitely not a dead beat. I read another post from Peterson where he also makes the same mistake of saying it’s a 737. The biggest hurdle for me to get over is petey had barely any hair on the top of his head in 71, Eric wants to play it off a season receding hairline but Sheridan’s was damn near  bald on top not just a receding hairline and I don’t believe a toupee would of gone be unnoticed in 71.

My guess? You have benevolent motivations. I don't think you have any aspirations to make money off the Cooper story. You've done a lot of work and spent money that you will never recover helping an old man get his book published before he dies. I don't think it goes deeper than that.
