Inspired by the Poor Man's Amicus Curiae that Robert Rackstraw filed when Colbert was pursuing his FOIA release from the FBI (there's a huge # of docs associated with that case)

I've decided to assemble a legal team, dream team so to speak, to file a similar suit against most of the known world, on behalf of Sheridan Peterson.

Rackstraw talked about $1B (and zero cents) treble damages and it seems that is about right for Sheridan too.

In the first page of his amicus (attached), Rackstraw highlights:
DB COOPER FAKE NEWS,
MURDER FOR HIRE,
LYING IN WAIT,
CONSPIRACY,
ECONOMIC AND PERSONAL TERRORISM,
UNJUST ENRICHMENT,
EXTORTION,
DEFAMATION,
LIBEL & SLANDER PER SE,
FRAUD,
INTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL DURESS,
PHYSICAL DISTRESS AND INJURY,
VIOLATIONS OF FTCA ADA VETERANS ACT et al.,
and
OTHERS TO BE DETERMINED PENDING $1,000,000,000.00 AND TREBLE DAMAGES COMPLAINT
PERMISSION BY LEAVE OF THE COURT

Mark Zaid has obviously met his match. I have offered to defend Sheridan pro bono, but you get what you pay for.
Rackstraw defending Sheridan. Think about it. Perfect pay per view event.

I will just shift my free defense offer to Tom Colbert. Rackstraw has petitioned the court to issue an arrest warrant for TC. Tom has wisely gone into hiding and is sending a proxy team to Portland tomorrow.

Rackstraw is a formidable jailhouse lawyer but not very good at marketing old yachts as valuable historic artifacts.
Poverty Sucks, his personal yacht, remains unsold.

377, in the attached photo, there are two things I find interesting:
1) I admire all fonts since I've become a publisher

2) The Phoenix, AZ connection. EU and Rackstraw? No one has drawn the dotted line before

And what's with the dog? Did Cooper tell Tina he liked dogs?

Colbert only offered Rackstraw $20,000.
Remember, bidding is starting at $100,000 for Sheridan.

When Colbert's investigators approached Rackstraw outside his 45-foot yacht "Poverty Sucks" at the Navy Yacht Club in Coronado, Rackstraw would only say the evidence was intriguing.

The filmmaker offered Rackstraw $20,000 for movie rights to his story. The former paratrooper mulled the idea for a few moments, twice asking to see the check Colbert wrote out and brought with him.

Then Rackstraw said, "The problem is, I don't remember a lot of it."

Funny, you can see Colbert cherrypicks parts of FBI memos

Colbert quotes the top of this FBI memo, but not the bottom.
The bottom implies the redacted person they are investigating, is in the Everett or Spokane area, and employed by some business in that area.

I advised SA <redacted> to call Spokane and Everett and to check with <redacted> and get all investigation done today. It appears he is still <redacted> employee and company records may show where he was on the day in question

Colbert says this 12/29/71 memo is about Rackstraw

This later memo, on 12/29/71 shows that the suspect developed through the Airlines Pilots Association (mentioned in above post's memo on 12/29/71 also) was the suspect that went to Honolulu on 11/29/71, from Seattle at 1:15 PM. Other memo reinforced that he was no longer a suspect. Prior memos talk about the lead from the Airlines Pilots Association. Seems like they were just all talking about the same person in this time frame.

It's amazing how Colbert can weave a story by cherrypicking pieces of redacted memos

When the server moved this site from one spot to another they failed to notify anyone thinking nothing would happen in the process. unfortunately that wasn't the case here. we lost most of the ability to copy/paste from other sites. almost every site while troubleshooting the problem brings up the UTF-8 as the problem.

the server is using UTF-8 but every article I read says the UTF-8 needs to be installed on the forum itself. the database could be damaged in the crossover. I downloaded a backup database and proceeded with the conversion. the conversion was successful so far it appears that no damage was done.

let's see if we can freely copy/paste like we have done in the past before they moved this site.

Mark Zaid is Colbert’s FOIA litigator. Zaid is widely recognized for his successful record taking on the federal government in court.

I'd love it if we could get Sheridan to sign off on an FOIA request for himself. Be interesting to see what other memos they have on Sheridan.

Mark Zaid's first comments in that podcast transcript are incorrect, right?
he says:
"The FBI records indicate there were no fingerprints located or found on the plane. "

But they did take prints. They're not sure they're Cooper's, but they had prints they used to compare to prints of various suspects. There are lab memos on that. So saying "no prints" isn't exactly true.

Yes. Zaid erred on fingerprints and a few other details.

Just got my copy of Sheridan's book from Snow.

Thanks, Snowmman! BTW:

You are correct, the margins could use a little work....
Hi, Bruce and 377 - In answer to 377's question, would have loved to come to Portland but finances would not permit. Hubby seems open to my saving up for the next one, though! Would love to meet you all at last!

I would LOVE to see Sheridan's book, as he's always been my fave suspect and I'm not all brash like you all, emailing him and stuff and asking him if he hijacked a plane. It would break my heart if he hated me for thinking it, though think it I do, as I have a great affection for him, felony or no. But if you have his book, please may I read it?

I mentioned on another thread a fiction publisher will be publishing my DBC novel shortly, very excited as it will be my first published work. No real suspects used in that, it's more a fantasy piece.

Who all was at the conference? It must have been a blast. I would love to meet someone else with this fascination in person, though I've had a chance to chat by phone with EU and Bruce. Hope all are well, safe, and happy.
