So Blevins actually said: "I will trust that your group will not cause discord while we try to assist on the new version of the Cooper Party, as well".

That's rich, coming from the guy that actually does cause discord. The same ass that caused the issues with EU's Cooper Conference.

Had a productive meeting with the psyops group and the records dept last night. Didn't end till 2AM.
All agreed it was time to release part 32 of the FBI FOIA files at the vault

Here's something interesting in part 32

Someone 'confessed' and in discounting the confession, an agent wrote a memo where he said

"The plane was tracked by Air Force radar during its entire flight"

This is interesting. We've used other memos and statements that implied Air Force radar was used.

I think this helps validate that he drawn flight path map is probably accurate.

When people quote robert99's analysis based on the transcripts, we didn't know at that time whether Air Force radar definitely tracked flight 305.

I think as time goes on, and more is released by my psyops and records teams, it becomes less likely that the flight path wasn't known.

doing some reviewing of radar info
In part 11 of the files, early in the investigation,
on 11/28/71, they talked to the man working the radar in Portland (I suppose PDX)

They thought the jump was near La Center at that time, and he advised them that  305 was 1 to 2 miles east of the center of V-23 at that time
(he called it the "flyway")

He said the radar was very accurate because they were close to Portland (PDX?)

There's numerous memos where they were adjusting the predicted drop zone, and what searches or overflights, they did, when.
Seems like there were more searches than we were aware of, in the past.

So, maybe radar info from PDX was used also. Maybe the guy was just going from memory though. Might not have had per-minute data points.

I supposed that detailed drop zone prediction memo we've all seen does mention USAF data

it says "Aircraft position from USAF radar data from McChord AFB furnished by <redacted>"

So I guess it's old news by now that USAF radar data was used.

I can't imagine why people are still bringing up flight path predictions.

The flight path with minutes marked on it, at varying speed intervals, doesn't seem like something someone would create out of thin air without data.

Not sure why people still question it.

example
By 1/13/72 this memo is talking about the revised map of the drop zone, with calculations based on a
"refined radar map provided by the Air Force"

This FBI memo in Part 26 of the FBI FOIA, confirms that some "radar tracing" of the flight was created.
And multiple copies made.

The work was done on 11/30/71, so within the first week. (the memo was 6/8/72)

If the map we have, is not an Air Force map, maybe the flight path was copied from an Air Force map unto the map we have????

It says:

RE: SEARCH AREA
On 11/30/71, <redacted> The Boeing Company, provided the color negatives as well as 5 prints made by The Boeing Company of an Air Force map showing the radar tracing of the course of the aircraft. The negative of this film is being placed in the 1-A section of this file.

Come to Portland Snow. Ask the Recca crew why they think it was off by about 116 miles.

Why on Earth did Recca choose Cle Elum for his purported NORJAK LZ? It still baffles me.

If the USAF radar the FBI refers too was the SAGE networked system, the position data would be very accurate. That data was actually used to send autopilot control commands to F 106 interceptors to automatically fly them to intercepts of enemy aircraft.

I'm a wanted man.
Federal authorities are after me for an assortment of crimes.
For instance, some say this is a crime. I say not.

Caveat: I have not received the proof of this final revision. But I did receive a proof of a prior copy so I believe my process is accurate.
I had to adjust the one-piece cover spine to deal with the increased page count of the much better Palatino Linotype font, and the 0.6" side margins (0.3" gutter)
Better picture of the Saudi Arabia Sheridan on the back.
Better chapter headings, and running headers. Removed running headers from chapter first pages. A few typo corrections. Bruce says there may still be some small ones, but you know it's time to ship, when you can't take it any more.

470 text pages now.
My proof of this revision is in the mail and I'l get it within 2 weeks.

But, as chief marketing officer for the Sheridan Peterson empire, I figured my fiduciary duty was to make it orderable in time for the drunken debauchery known as Coopercon, where wine in a box is poured by adoring whuffos, who field pack your training reserve with daisy-chained lines.

Here's a little-known fact about Snowmman.
He was actually accused of IP theft before.
The case was settled out of court, and millions of dollars changed hands.
This is true.
So, I don't think I'm rattled.

What Snow said is actually true, but the details would reveal his other life in tech.

So if Sheridan is cool with Snow's tribute by zero profit publishing, can we move on?

I have a copy of the first edition with non-pro formatting, which will surely become more valuable than the Beatle's Butcher Cover.

I just ordered two copies of the current Lulu offering. When Sheridan takes me off his shit list I'll ask him to autograph them. It's truly heartwarming to know that Sheridan will get all the proceeds.

When Blevins gets his pending exclusive contract signed and publishes pro quality versions, I'll buy a couple from him as well.

It's a sunny day in Sheridan land. His book is no longer at risk of disappearing.
