Do I currently know the exact recipe for this coating, no but I can find out.

            That’s another point that you and the neo-genius haven’t said much about… the peculiarity that the Cooper UNSUB had sunglasses that went with him. Hmm? Translation: Cooper's sunglasses had an infrared sensitive coating to spot gas powered infrared lanterns on the ground, which means he made a fairly precise jump/landing. Get it? Well maybe you don’t, but I’ll bet that many other people would.

Comment: Hmmmmm.    Let's contemplate on this.

Nothing even remotely like this was available to a customer that had nearly unlimited funds for R&D. Big diff between IR coated lenses and thermal wavelength emission detection. Ordinary glass completely blocks thermal IR. You can buy all the IR filters you want for your camera and you will never see a thermal image.

I jumped last Saturday over Byron CA. We had a thick concentrated smoke layer between about 3500 and 7500 ft. Couldn’t see the ground through it. Strong smell of burning wood. Coughed as I descended through this carcinogen strata. Could smell smoke on my jumpsuit days later. Yuk.

The leader in wacko tech-no claims is still the guy who swore all of the backpacks given Cooper had "yellow life rafts" in each of them! Some people have fertile imaginations.

I tried working with Georger through emails the last couple days...I tried to explain to him that I also had questions concerning the latest comments by Flyjack...everything was fine last night, he asked a few things in which I supplied documents to and that was the end of our discussion for the evening...I get home from work and he had several emails explaining certain parts and then his last email included asking for his account to be removed...I sent an email once again and was waiting for a reply..

I then went to Bruces site and noticed Georger had posted the following comment...

I have quit the DB Cooper Forum run by Dave Brown. Reason: its an intolerable situation there involving a poster named FLYJACK with no hope of recovery. The situation is so toxic there that nothing can be accomplished there with any personal security or satisfaction. Others I respect and rely on have quit or dropped out previously. It’s unlike anything Ive ever experienced before; it has become pointless to even try there. Good luck to Shutter and his FLYJACK FORUM. –

He keeps insisting that I have teamed up with Flyjack..this is the similar reason R99 left. these are friends I looked up to almost the entire time I've been involved with this case. I'm more than shocked with this type of outburst but shouldn't really be that shocked coming from G..he's done this before but not to this degree..

Georger is very driven in getting things right..Fly, I know you disagree but the man has been at this a long time and knows people involved with the case..the kicker is getting it out of him...he likes the control but many do the same.

Does anyone on this forum believe I've done these guys injustice?

There is NO collusion, NO dossier, it was all a setup by a top level the FBI crew and the DEEP STATE..


For the record, I don't want anyone to leave,, everyone should have a voice.  Ultimately, don't we all have the same goal.

He has valuable case knowledge and can contribute but just stop the personal attacks, smears, belittling and distortions to discredit the messenger. They aren't arguments. He perceives me somehow as a threat... that is not the case. I may look at this case differently than some have but that is a good thing. My objectives were to look where others haven't and to critically re-evaluate accepted assumptions. That means wandering outside the lines sometimes..  this case won't be solved using the same thinking and same assumptions that have been hardened for many years..

I would like Georger to be here and contribute but the personal stuff has to end. It is toxic.

Shut, you run a good forum. I have never seen you behave in any way that would warrant anyone leaving this site.

Maybe Georger will be back. Maybe not. Regardless, we go on as best we can. Is Georger's absence a loss? Yes. Is R99's absence a loss? Yup. But Whatcha gonna do?

Having civil conversations about DB Cooper is difficult. Nevertheless, we here still uphold the value of respectful discourse and hope for the best.

Yes, lots of newbies are mistreated and leave, never to come back. That's a shame, but it is what it is. I remember my first few posts at the DZ in 2008 and Georger tore me a new anus right away. I was furious, but I got over it, deciding to see what I could learn in the meantime from the site even if it meant I had to endure the "adorable asshole" - the term Georger uses to describe himself.

I think you run the forum well Dave. It’s literally impossible to render “justice” absolutely uniformly when the behavior and character of the partipants is non uniform and changing all the time. I think you try hard to be fair and not play favorites.

I just don’t understand quitting. It’s so easy to ignore offensive behavior in an online setting. You can skip an offensive post quite easily. No need to rise to the bait. Move on. Don’t let your emotions rule everything. Stay in the game. Keep contributing.

Georger will be sorely missed by me. He gets cranky at times but his brainy perspective and scientific approach added so much value. I do hope he will cool off and return.

I don’t like the name calling.  I can see why it needs to result in some consequence or it just gets worse. Temporary vacations seem appropriate. It’s a pause or reset button not a permanent ban.

There is something about online forums that causes some people to unleash offensive behavior that they would never display in a person to person setting. At the Portland Symposium there was no nasty behavior that I saw. Offensive online behaviors didn’t manifest themselves in person. It was so refreshing. Even uplifting.

Keep the forum going Dave. It’s become the center of mass for all things Cooper. I never thought dropzone could be succeeded effectively but you proved me wrong. Thanks for all you do. Don’t let the bickering derail the forum.
