Yes, I recall reading that and other statements but what is the date on the document? I'm wondering the time between packing the chute and making the statement..how many chutes did he sell that didn't have D-rings etc. must be a pattern for him to remember it not having important parts of the chute..it was in Hayden's custody at the time...how did he know they were missing?

good point, I believe he packed the Hayden chutes 6 months before NORJAK..

IMO, Cossey's statements, like many witnesses is a mix of opinion and knowledge..

I guess he could remember that far back. it seems odd he put it together so quickly after claiming all 4 came from him..technically, I guess they did all come from him..

Thanks, I knew it was not long after the hijacking that they also told them about the dummy chute. Hayden doesn't have good things to say about Cossey either..the whole chute story conflicts to this day..

I've never read that..it could be a personal preference. some jumpers don't use a chest pack..he was not in control of the chute. Hayden had it, both of the back chutes..I'm just wondering if 4 back packs showed up and was never recorded..

So maybe he would have seen them while he was packing them

I don't know....I just thought of it while looking through Carr's statements on the DZ for something else..he also claims to have modified the ripcord..Documents show Hayden gave them the backpacks..Cossey claims different..now we have opened the old can of worms on the chutes lol

That isn't the dispute.. the "dispute" is who actually owned the chutes that were used and which one Cooper used. Cossey and Hayden stories conflict and the FBI docs conflict.

Maybe they both sent chutes but only 2 were used creating the confusion, who knows, Cooper Vortex strikes again.
