Following up on old business, recent interviews have presented new evidence.

R2 reports of flares being dropped from a plane at Eugene the week before 11/24.   It happened. The FAA and FBI got involved. The pilot and the plane involved were located/identified. There are 302s documenting the whole event, which people were talking about the evening of 11/24 after 305 cleared Eugene air space.

Was the identity of the pilot/plane revealed??

Interesting account... from controller.. might also explain why some COMMS are missing.

has been posted before ... note the date. 2010 after the DZ forum started in 2008. Lots of people were inspired by the forum as a resource to write books.

Has nothing to do with Tina Mucklow

I find it quite peculiar that approx $6K (3% of 200) was found near where she lived, at a place bearing her name.  He could have been being cute.

Nothing "cute" about the extensive buried shard field residing directly below the currency stacks. No way those shards were deliberately planted. Nature put em there, not a person with a scheme.

I used to be a believer in the plant theory to explain the T Bar currency find, but the shard field (well documented in a TV news video) forced me to change my mind.

I almost fully agree with you 377...  though it is still a heck of a coincidence. It's that the stacks were reportedly one on top of the other that holds me back.  I'd imagine that's the last thing that would happen if not a plant.

found near where she lived, at a place bearing her name ?

Money arrived on which date according to whom? Different people say 1971 all the way to 1979 - where was Tina living each year during this time span? It wasnt public knowledge where she was living until ________ ?

Thats how conspiracy theories are born - on false info. One guy even says the money was at Tena Bar in 1970 before the hijacking!

Why wasnt the money buried at Mucklow Washington? (see map) or at Tina Washington, or at Cooper Washington!?

Yes, that would certainly solve the issue..not sure Bruce is good at that though...

I'm not. But more to the point, the guy calling himself "Gene Bland" needs to explain himself. He hasn't, nor has he posted since being called out. To me, that is satisfactory.

Good find! I've been looking for a Cooper Vane for my collection but no luck.

Without FAA acceptable paperwork, used aircraft parts are nearly worthless. You have to be able to trace their history, cradle to grave.

There is currently a twin turboprop MU 2 aircraft for sale in Mexico for about 20% of its value because all the logs were stolen and cant be re-created.

N. Vietnam had no luck trying to peddle a large cache of captured Lockheed C 130 Allison T-56 engines after Saigon fell. They were freshly overhauled zero time engines in sealed canisters, but no paperwork. The sellers were trying to get top dollar but they were not worth much more than scrap prices.

The shards, while mystifying, have never bothered me as much as the compression of the bills. Mr. Kaye's research on how bills fan out in water doesn't mean these bills were never in water, but it does mean they were compressed beyond their capacity to fan before - WAIT A COTTON-PICKING MINUTE! You almost did it! You almost dragged me back to Tena Bar. Hell, no, I won't go! *shakes fist in air*

The Ingram money was right on the high tide line - many observed. The money was being exposed to Columbia H20 daily .... for however long it was there. Al Fazio declared it was the tides that had brought the money up on the beach in the first place...  ;)

I don't think Cooper planted the bills to fool anyone. Before I get smoked, though, lemme put my speculation banner up:

lazy Sunday speculation
The things that niggle me about the money and Cooper are:

1) he was carrying a crapload of stuff, too much to be inconspicuous, including 20+ lbs of money in a bank bag. He'd have looked like one of the Beagle Boys making it to the nearest road with that much stuff on him.
2) the compression of the bills vs. the way Kaye found they fanned in water. T-Bar is where the bills ended up (but not all of them) and the shards show they were at T-Bar for some time undergoing natural burial and uncovering. I don't think they started there. I think they were compressed elsewhere and eventually dislodged by whatever natural force (wind, flood, nesting birds, etc), winding up on T-Bar.

McCoy had to ditch his loot as well - he got caught because someone was onto him, as far as I've read anyway, but the loot itself was hidden in a culvert. The authorities also found all the Honduran guy's cash in a lump sum but no details were ever released on it. Bottom line: unless Cooper had an accomplice/vehicle (and the requisite equipment/ESP to find them on the ground!) he HAD to temporarily ditch at least some of his stuff to make the getaway.

Some of the money could come with him. The briefcase (and mysterious white bag of his own) could have contained quite a bit. Plus with an overcoat, suit jacket, shirt and pants, he had at least 9 pockets, and all we know he had with him for sure is a knife and likely a wallet, though the ticket agent doesn't specifically remember one.

He couldn't have returned for the money right away unless pretending to be a volunteer in the ground search or a treasure hunter. By the time he got back to the loot, part or all of it may already have been damaged (the bills do seem to show two levels of damage) and he may simply have discarded it. If it got found, it makes his death look more likely, which can only work in his favour. (That's why I don't think he wrote the letters. He was better off dead in the feds' eyes. Most criminals are not Zodiac. Most don't dare the feds to catch them.)

The discarded money then had years to make it to T-Bar, by whatever means.

Equally possible: Cooper died, and part of the loot ended up at T-Bar. It just doesn't explain where the rest of the money and all that stuff went. Cooper himself could have been mauled and eaten. But he had a crapton of material on him as well that would have been of no interest to a wild animal. If he crashed into the earth, he also would likely have dropped stuff of no interest to animals. So where is it?

End of lazy Sunday speculation
