To actually think someone would hire a lawyer to intrude onto a public forum is beyond belief. then all the other accusations that followed post after post. none of them were remotely true, not one!

But at the Mountain News I just couldn't find the "sweet spot" for animated discussion, Blevins' stuff, and the young bucks spouting their most recent findings. Some of it was good, some not, some of it Blevins' backstabbing. It got to the point where I just couldn't select the worthy and surgically remove the unwanted, so I had to shut it all down.

We saw this go on for years at the DZ, and it came back in full force at TMN - there were over 600 posts in about a month's time - so there is a desire for this kind of interaction. But I just don't have the time or energy to monitor it all.

Do you think there are chat sites devoted to the Hoffa and Earhart cases? Are there people going toe-to-toe over Amelia's crash zone and whether Hoffa was compacted into a '76 Mustang or works at a deli in the Bronx?

Haha, yes, I was only on here intermittently while ill and only just saw most of the stuff regarding the brouhaha at TMN. Anyone with any shred of sanity would have seen after the first few posts that He-who-shall-not-be-named is just a little bitter about having ppl prove his once-hot story doesn't hold water and is now no longer on any serious Cooperite's radar at all. Most can reel off at least 10 more plausible suspects without pausing for breath. Very entertaining once the Jonbenet/Zodiac forces joined in, but the collective logical and grammatical errors were hurting my head. I can certainly see why you were upset, but nobody sane could take such rambling screeds seriously. And - not pointing any elbows - but in watching others struggle to reason with a paranoiac using logic, am reminded of a certain quote that was on T-shirts when I was a kid: "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and and annoys the pig."

I wouldn't even DARE go on a Hoffa thread! I imagine the aviatrix fanatics are a slightly more sedate lot. But you never know. I like to imagine Cooper is still alive somewhere, watching this all with a bourbon in his hand, chucking in amazement at the phenomenology of his own case. God forbid they ever find his remains somewhere along the Columbia. I can just see the sub-headlines: "Several Spontaneously Combust Throughout North America: Link Sought".

I've learned to blow him off in the past, but this was above trash talk and needed to be corrected..he was talking about it for a while prior to my finding out...

Hoffa, I'm sure many on those sites claim there dad was friends with him, worked with him etc. then you probably have (you know who types) knowing exactly where he is , but the trust issue prevents him from telling everyone 

Probably some good battles on where Earhart is as well..I recall many fighting over Jesse James as well..those who believe they are related to him...
