sometimes, especially with suspects people will give a story that makes it hard to verify. flying under the radar is one. another one is the person is dead and can't speak out, or the old fingerprints can't be checked because of the fire that destroyed a lot of military records.
If a story is old it will change over time or become distorted and have new "facts" surrounding the story.
tossing the money and bomb out onto a lake and seeing it sink would be a stretch. these items would more than likely skip across the lake for a period prior to sinking while the plane moves away making things harder to see as you move away.
the money would still be in the lake and could never make it to Tina bar without human intervention. these two problems alone make the whole story start to fall apart. you can't have one thing and not the other. the lake is very shallow so I don't believe they would of ever concluded he perished in the lake.
If Cooper had no intentions of using, or needing the money I'm guessing he would of asked for 100 dollar bills to lighten the load. according to the story they threw away a quarter of the money, then buried the rest?
landing within 1300 feet would imply they knew the weather in that location and would of jumped exactly where Cooper was suppose to jump. this also means a perfect break in the clouds in the area. a second or two would of thrown the calculations off. it was PERFECT in every way? this also implies they would of known exactly where the plane was during this period. how could they have known if direction was never given? they knew it would be west of V23?
the area is known for aviation, so I find it hard to believe people would wonder why a plane is flying? big airports, small paved, unpaved airports, military, helicopters, smoke jumpers etc. it has them all.
Then you have the ground sightings. Cooper is once again is all over the place. how can he be in so many places.
I would still like to find the owners of the Amboy chute. it's a very strange part of the story. it almost smells of a false flag. this would be for good, as in boosting, or sparking interest in the case.
