How are you all going to view the eclipse? I'm using binoculars as a projector, and a backup using a small piece of mirror that will also project it onto a wall about 40 feet away. the mirror is small, less than an inch...doesn't matter what it looks like..

I plan to watch it on TV.  That will probably be the best way to do it.

I think DBC and I will be toasting another Total eclipse in the cockpit of his private plane ! Last Total eclipse back in 1979, Coop and I were burying some Money at Tina Bar to convince the FBI that he had died. We only had a few minutes of total darkness so we only buried it a few inches deep. Don't tell Tom !

I've got my eclipse glasses. Local Fred Meyer super-store just posted a sign saying that they are "Out of Eclipse Glasses," a phenomenon that is widespread. We're getting a 85-90 percent totality here in Eatonville.

The bigger question is: where did I put my portable cloud dispersal machine....hmmm.....

We are ready here and at another observatory north of here - but clouds and rain are forecast. We have a live NASA feed and several others to share with the public. If you see Cooper or a Cooper sleuth flying by on a broomstick - call your local authorities to launch a helo to chase.  :chr2:

TC has a fixation on a plane being part of the getaway

You know I love ya Brucie, and it was a real pleasure breaking bread with you last month...

Yet I wasn't aware of all the early reports of the small planes that seemed to have gone down the memory hole here.  Sounds to me like Colbert has nailed it and is on the real trail of the group caper, and it involves Rackstraw not as Cooper but as the getaway pilot.  There seems to be a real cognitive dissonance in these parts regarding all the eyewitness fbi testimony of the small planes. And aside all of that,  part of me is rooting for Colbert so I can chuck Dan LeClair down my own memory hole along with the swinger Gunther, getting rid of them once and of all.

I've heard of multiple reports of small planes flying in and out of rural runways. Geoffrey Gray, I think reports one instance, and I know that Galen has tracked down at least one. Himmelsbach also reports one instance if my memory is correct.

But I find them all incredible. Who the hell is flying around tiny field strips with minimal or non-existent lighting in the dark, in the rain the day before Thanksgiving? That's a lot of guys who really don't like eating turkey with relatives.

A more plausible scenario for a getaway via accomplices is a car ride, eventually to a major airport.

Yup, Dice, good meeting with ya in NY back in June. You buy my book, yet? You promised!

Im still doing research, socalled, but several flights made it into the Troutdale airport (that we documented) but earlier in the afternoon before Cooper had even left Seattle. All of these flights arrived at Troutdale from a variety of directions, several started at small airports with one starting from the dropzone area. I have been told the FBI/FAA looked into most of these private plane flights that day and one person who gave testimony told me none of the flights had anything to do with Cooper. All had been accounted for. There would be log records for any flight(s) TC is contending; or, there should be log records?.

Im still trying to construct exactly what TC is contending and who did what where ... according to TC. His pdf is complex and difficult to follow.

(almost forgot) I remember an official at the Troutdale airport commented that several of these flights 'arrived just in time to beat the rain and storms that arrived that afternoon and early evening - no other flights were scheduled so we closed the airport early'. I have similar reports from several other small airports. I wonder if one of those was TC's airport? I will check...

The story gets around flight logs by stating they were flying under the radar...kind of seals it up nice and tight...

well yes n no. People talk. And that is precisely what TC is claiming - people talked after the fact. But until they talked the biggest airline hijacking in history went ... unsaid. Then three old timers at a flying club decide to take a brand new member into their confidence - you wont tell will ya? And they disclose one of the best kept secrets on the planet! A secret worth millions! But that guy decides not to tell. Then TC comes along, years later, and someone says to him - "wanna meet Jesus? He's in my basement - has been there since the crucifixion". And the guy just happens to be a TV producer peddling a suspect in the Cooper case!!  What are the odds? TC must be one of the luckiest guys on the planet. Oh they did try to bring in the FBI but the FBI turned them down. The FBI has closed the case on Jesus.

My searches at DZ haven't produced anything in spite of the fact I know these reports were mentioned there.

sometimes, especially with suspects people will give a story that makes it hard to verify. flying under the radar is one. another one is the person is dead and can't speak out, or the old fingerprints can't be checked because of the fire that destroyed a lot of military records.

If a story is old it will change over time or become distorted and have new "facts" surrounding the story.

tossing the money and bomb out onto a lake and seeing it sink would be a stretch. these items would more than likely skip across the lake for a period prior to sinking while the plane moves away making things harder to see as you move away.

the money would still be in the lake and could never make it to Tina bar without human intervention. these two problems alone make the whole story start to fall apart. you can't have one thing and not the other. the lake is very shallow so I don't believe they would of ever concluded he perished in the lake.

If Cooper had no intentions of using, or needing the money I'm guessing he would of asked for 100 dollar bills to lighten the load. according to the story they threw away a quarter of the money, then buried the rest?

landing within 1300 feet would imply they knew the weather in that location and would of jumped exactly where Cooper was suppose to jump. this also means a perfect break in the clouds in the area. a second or two would of thrown the calculations off. it was PERFECT in every way? this also implies they would of known exactly where the plane was during this period. how could they have known if direction was never given? they knew it would be west of V23?

the area is known for aviation, so I find it hard to believe people would wonder why a plane is flying? big airports, small paved, unpaved airports, military, helicopters, smoke jumpers etc. it has them all.

Then you have the ground sightings. Cooper is once again is all over the place. how can he be in so many places.

I would still like to find the owners of the Amboy chute. it's a very strange part of the story. it almost smells of a false flag. this would be for good, as in boosting, or sparking interest in the case.

That's what I like about you 377, that passive aggressive demeanor that comes out every once in a while.  You're so subtle -- that little dig at me last time about me flaunting my level of education to disparage someone on the forum, and now your inappropriate but subtle political dig at Trump.  Stick with parachutes and legal-ese, those are your strong suits.
