T-Bar Search Request

Is anyone heading to T-Bar that doesn't think I'm an "asshole," or that I "act like a child," that might be able to offer me a ride? Clearly, some issues have arisen with my original transport.

...30 minute later update: Meyer and I have agreed to roll the dice on traveling together, so we'll be rolling down the V-23 corridor to T-Bar, too.

It's sad that the Travel Channel gets caught in the middle of 'personal issues' going on in the State of Washington. Everyone was warned!

Shutter   Did anyone notice Sheridan's book "The Idot's Frightful Laughter" on his book shelf (up front and in plain sight of the camera) during his interview with the History Channel 4 hr program? I have read Part I but can't seem to find Part II. In Part I his character "Grecco" is involved in the Vietnam war and all its problems to him (who might actually be Sheridan) and the whole Part I could be called "The Grudge" and Part II could be the "Revenge" with Grecco doing the Norjak caper. Had I been at the Sheridan interview in his apartment, I would have asked to look at Sheridan's book to see if he had Part II in his copy of the book. The Part II could have explained all we would like to know but don't know about Norjak. So, has anyone in this Forum read Part II? and the choice of the title "The Idot's Frightful Laughter" brings up the question of what does that title mean? Is Sheridan indicating that DB Cooper laughed in the start of DB's jump from the 727. During the interview Sheridan actually did a little "frightful laughter" when asked a piercing question. Just thinking.

I will encourage Meyer to post a report on these pages. He says that he is planning to attend the BBQ for at least a brief period of time.

He is uncomfortable driving me to the Ariel Store area, so I've agreed to be dropped off at the Lewis River Bed and Breakfast to await his return. The LR BnB is a lovely spot and the Formans and I stayed there regularly when we attended Ariel shindigs in the past. I have some business to attend to with the owners - namely to give them a copy of DB Cooper and the FBI as a thank you for their many courtesies to me in the past, such as staying for a reduced rate!

Well, according to Blev on the Ariel Store thread on his website: 'thousands are due to arrive at Ariel shortly' - 'We have our detractors over at The DB Cooper Forum, of course. And although most of them have been banned from attending the Ariel Festival by store owner Bryan Woodruff' - 'I also told him that if they stopped the hate, that maybe they could attend next summer's Cooper Party instead of being left out in the cold. It's too late for them this year, but maybe by next year they will see the sense of cooperating' - and 'But what The Boys From Brazil over at the Cooper Forum don't realize is that if it weren't for me, they wouldn't even be going to Tina Bar on a weekend. It was me who convinced Travel Channel to change their shooting schedule at the Ariel Store from Sunday to Saturday...and made it possible for them to do the Tina Bar shoot on a weekend'.

So far as I know the planet is still orbiting the Sun and spinning on it's axis so sunset and morning of the next day will arrive on schedule as ordained by the Almighty, and Blevins, Woodruff, and Geivette 'GrayKook' are not in charge of the rest of the Universe, yet! 
   
Hopefully the Travel Channel people will be able to negotiate this "minefield of zombies" to get something accomplished ... it is what it is!

I seem to recall the schedule was changed prior to them discussing anything about Tina Bar. I've had over a hundred emails, and numerous phone conversations with them. Robert was mentioned, I believe twice. once in regards to Ariel, and then I told them about his little tale of the secret closing of the case, I'm still laughing about that tale. where is the Wall street reporter? oh, that's right, it's all forgotten about now?

If today's society believes that discussing the future of a business is hatred, then I'm guilty as charged. Bryan spewed more hatred than Bobby could lie, and drum up in a years time! does Bryan have a drinking problem? the email reads like that. full of filthy language, and ramblings.

I live in Florida, so I will miss next year, and probably the following 10 years. I don't have time to fly across the country for "fun". I research the case. I don't celebrate it! I wonder if they could get the crew to show up?

I like to research the case. I don't try and find every known source of exploitation be it production companies, or gaining notoriety through places like Ariel. Robert believes, and stated spending money makes you better than everyone else? he's always looking for the pat on the back. I spent thousands on my simulator, am I special now, do I fit into Roberts society?

Someone will issue a reliable report. I wish them well, hope they have a good day etc, hope the filming crew gets what they need ... and for Dona's sake and memory, and for the many good years the Ariel Store has known. I hope we can all get beyond this asap. I wish Bryan well in his recovery.
