Wasn't the Uni Bomber that was turned in by his brother, not by the artist sketch but by his writing style?  If his own brother couldn't ID him from a sketch it doesn't bode well for DBC. 

Judging age is a funny thing. Some people don't look their age at all. Not the same as height or other quantitative measures.   I wouldn't disqualify a suspect based purely on age, but it is a strike against him.

I wouldn't be shocked if Blevins wrote that post himself.   I suggest you remove it, not for Blevin's sake but for yours and Skipps.  Whatever the truth it may contain, it's rather low class.  Maybe it's funny and maybe it's true, but it's not consistent with the high quality of your website.  Especially since you have pretty good evidence it's a bogus.  Believe me, i LMAO but it's better to stay out of the mud.

ok, but still, nobody should be using Skipp to get at Robert. it's far to easy watching him fumble on his own. the whole thing on there is ridiculous from the start. lets put Bobby back in the box where he belongs. he has nothing of value, similar to what the FBI says about his story. it's bogus. maybe we should get him a "jumping to conclusions mat" ( Movie Office Space)

The flight path vs descriptions are two entirely different things.

The totality of information basing Cooper's description are based on individuals who knew who he was, and was with him for long periods of time. the were similar in describing Cooper, this can't be overlooked.

The flight path was on an invisible highway that only trained individuals could read, or see. the FBI's own statements are "the believed flight path" now, when you look at the totality of information on the flight path, controllers, flight data recorder etc. one has to believe that this is also correct, much like the descriptions given by multiple people. yes, we have issues with the path, and that's why I'm trying to validate it, and not dismiss it. I'm open to any theory as long as it makes sense.

The timing could be off, but once again it's nothing in comparison to describing an individual. those are calculation error's.

The clothing is also pure speculation since nobody really knows if those were his clothes, or not. it's a guess. the descriptions are a little more than a guess, especially, if multiple people give similar statements.

also, it's not just people on this board in reference to the flight path, or jump time being wrong. the FBI has admitted things could be off, and Larry Carr is the one quoted on the 8:20 jump time, not people from here...the pressure bump appears to be the key that is missing from the transcripts...

That's fair, I am speculating regarding a possible 'costume' angle with DBC.  That said, I don't believe I have disagreed with any of the eyewitness testimony regarding what Cooper actually looked like.  To the contrary, I'm assuming their statements about his looks are accurate.  More specifically, I think it's significant that one of the 3 main eyewitnesses (Mitchell) is saying RWR could be DBC.  As others have commented, age is a subjective judgment, and I don't think we should dismiss possible suspects based solely on it.

I likewise acknowledge that there are people beyond this Board that believe the original thinking regarding the flight path and/or the jump time was off.  Again, while I don't currently agree with them on these points, I'm open-minded about it and could be persuaded to their point of view.  Bigger picture, I think it's a very good thing that they are doing work in these areas, as it may change our perspective on the case.

The flight path consists of a lot of calculations, and is open to error's, more towards the jump time than anything due to the pressure bump not being shown in the transcripts. the actual problem lies with the FBI, Carr stated years ago he couldn't find any of the flight data taken from the plane, nobody has a clue where the radar tapes are. Carr also admitted that McChord never turned anything over to them. they have nothing to prove anything about the path. I'm guessing they probably do have the documents, but decided not to publish them for some reason. why, I don't know....

I like to compare this case with the escape from Alcatraz. it took the FBI years to turn everything over to the Marshal's. once they started looking into things, a different picture emerged. reports of a stolen car, and a raft on Angel island. things they seemingly covered up, and buried deep in the files. the story, or myth was no raft was ever found, and no crimes committed after the escape! could this be the case here, perhaps, but I can't say for sure. it sure is strange that major evidence turned up missing in this case....

I dont think judging age in this matter is as subjective as you think, moreover the people making the judgement were rather experienced at dealing with and judging 'people'. They also represent a cross section of ages and life experience themselves so any consensus among them is probably a 'strong' consensus. The age judgement crew members made is based on  many criteria. Given the threat Cooper posed to the crew, they probably sized him up on many levels. Their judgements were important and related to their safety and the outcome of a dangerous situation. Moreover, they had to give accurate descriptions which could then be passed on to authorities themselves needing correct information in order to make their decisions. The fate of everyone was in the hands of this crew. That's a pretty strong motivation for 'getting things right', a motivation we don't share.

I would think they are a step above the average person (the crew) they are trained for emergencies, and dealing with panic. nobody had a clue what was going on for hours due to there professionalism...they didn't let anyone see anything going on until the money, and chutes came a board. then the passengers were probably confused as hell.

I think they handled the situation very well. everyone went home that day, or evening...

I have every confidence that this is Skipp Porteous in this email. I have had several correspondences with him over the past few years, and the content and style of this email is classic Skipp.

In addition, the email IPs check out. I don't see the embarrassments in posting Skipp's message. The guy has physical and neurological impairments. So? I thought I was honoring him by letting him speak in his defense, with his words.

Besides, anyone whom continues to have the chutzpah to publish a book titled: The True Story of DB Cooper, and then have a picture on the front cover of a guy landing in daylight with a rectangular parachute and wearing a heavy parka and jump boots shouldn't begrudge a fellow researcher who is trying to set the record straight on a bogus post made in his name.
