A quick search, and I found a quote from Carr, it's not the one I remember, but here it is anyway..

Carr, March 29, 2008

"He jumps and the pressure bump is felt by the crew, but not at 8:11 more around 8:15 to 8:20. The bag of money Cooper tied to him is instantly ripped from his waist as he tumbles. Cooper, not expecting the forces of the jump, desperately tries to pull the handle but he can't find it, panics and no pulls."

Thank you for the link Shutter.  Of the numerous summaries that are out there from takeoff in Seattle to jump, it's somewhat confounding regarding the seemingly variable facts.  Did Carr ever say where he came up with 8:20p?

If  you are talking about 8:20 as a jump time, that estimate came from Sluggo who also said he thought Orchard was a viable location to search ? Thats how I remember this.

It was a quote from Carr, I think it was similar to the 5 - 10 minutes, it might of been an error on his part. I'll have to find his quote. it's not in the PDF...

I don't think you have insomnia.  I think you have the Blevins flu >:D  Just went to Bruce's site for my nightly check to see if RWR posted something new, and man, he seems to want to push your buttons all hours of the night....just ignore him and get some sleep!  (Thank you for finding that Carr quote btw...I still want to know what makes him say 815-820p...)

Ha, that's a good one, but it's not the reason. I had a lot of problems going back to Friday, and Saturday. hopefully they will be resolved tomorrow. plus, my damn truck went down again. overheating. finally found the cause. the electric fan on the radiator.

I have something very important coming up, some here know what I'm talking about, so I have a mixture of things bothering me, but Robert never causes me any problems with the real world. if that happens, it's time to leave. I don't see that happening either..

The extended jump time, or the moving forward of it has to do with two events. one being the oscillation, this is when Cooper went down the stairs, then time passes, and a pressure bump occurred. this was Cooper jumping from the stairs. the transcripts only state the oscillation, but not the pressure bump. Carr believes now that they were looking in the wrong place for Cooper.

DZ Redux:

The number of Cooper comments at the Mountain News has reached 152 posts. We have a number of insomniacs posting there, including our MrShutter (TAKE MEDS, DUDE!). Bobby can't sleep, either, but I don't know if that's because he's scared of legal repercussions from his friend-of-a-friend revelations, (a guy we now know is named "Troy,") or savoring his almost solving Norjak. Heavy is the head that wears the crown...

I get insomnia once or twice a month. I posted that it was time to stop giving him the attention he so desires. he comes to your site since "the public" seems to overlook his. it's a perfect example of what happened to the DZ.

Shutter;  Nice simulation but I would like to add that Jo Weber claims that Duane claimed to have seen DB Cooper come out of the woods at the North end of Lake Lacama (just East of Vancouver WA) and DB was not a no-pull as he (Sheridan Peterson) is still alive today at 91 years old and looking good in the History Channel TV interview in his apartment. I know he is DB Cooper as the proof is in the FLAW that I found in his phony alibi to the FBI that he was delivering one of his children born in Nepal. The FLAW is he had no children born in 1971 (Norjak 11/24/1971) and that his son was born in 1970 and the daughter in 1972. Case solved.

Jo claims a lot, so nothing can be verified. we seem to have an epidemic of who Cooper was, or is lately..

Colbert, strongly believe Rackstraw is Cooper..
Marla Cooper believes her uncle LD was Cooper
Bobby claims Kenny is Cooper
Sailshaw believes Peterson is Cooper...

While at lunch today, I noticed 4 guys with what appeared to be high security Government badges. Now, they are claiming that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was Cooper, and that all the evidence points directly to him. I seen there names on the badges, but I don't want to get them in trouble, so I'll just blast it all over the internet? I refuse to go to the FBI, without getting some promotional satisfaction first!  C:-) C:-) C:-)

Another fertile area for exploitation is: how did Cooper survive and escape! Because, we all know the KBOZ Search video is a hoax - Tom found no evidence of a search at Seattle! The search box was found but when Tom analised the contains of that box it turned out to be only a fossilized tuna sandwich - and records showed tat sandwich originally belonged to (get this! ) Sailshaw!  Thus there was no search for Cooper! Thus it is very likely Cooper was still living in the area where he jumped, five years later. The saga of that story would be well worth people;s time exploring.

I saw the same guys, but they told me it was someone else.  Some guy named Lew Alcindor.

I guess there is no way we'll ever resolve that discrepancy. ;D ;D ;D

If anyone becomes a really hot suspect rest assured there will be a Duane Weber connection quickly established.  ;)

Duane didn't play in the NBA... but he knew some really tall guys.

In 1967, Lew played against my team: Chaminade, in the Catholic High School League play offs. Lew was the center on the Power Memorial team.

Not sure if Duane was the coach, though. I'll have to ask Jo.

Cooperites Unite!

Sailshaw and his lovely wife, Michelle, joined Ron and Pat Forman and I at the Puyallup Library for my presentation on you know who.

Thank Gawd Michelle was there to hush Sail from getting too worked up about the FLAW. Twenty or so people in the crowd. Good Times.

Afterwards we talked a little about how Bobby and Bryan have joined forces to institutionalize the Ariel Store-DB Cooper relationship, and turn it into some kind of branded tourist-destination location, replete with an RV park, according to Bobby's posting yesterday at the MN (or was it an email?). Look out Disneyland, here comes Cooper World!

Bobby sent me an email stating that the Travel Channel would be at the BBQ on the 27th, and, of course he is in charge of all media doings and that I was strictly and specifically forbidden to interact with any Travel Channel personnel. I emailed the TC to see if there would be any restrictions on participants from their point of view, and they said no, but they were very distant and formal. They also said they had no particular role for me in their shoot, so, I guess the best that I might do is watch other people party.

It feels like the Cooper story and Cooper Country is getting divvied up between rival branding and commercial interests. Blevins/Christiansen/Bryan get Ariel and TC. Colbert/Rackstraw/FBI get the HC. Maybe me and the Formans get transgenders/Thun Field and Puyallup, WA?

Cooper Cartels, anyone?

Bloviation Report

Ayn Dietrich-Williams commented today of Bobby's breakthrough story about Kenny and chatty feds in Virginia.

There's nothing to the story.

Here is what Ayn sent me:

Hello, Bruce—

The FBI has been completely straightforward about our reasons for closing the case and that our reviews of all previous subjects have failed to yield sufficient proof to resolve the investigation. FBI employees may have their own personal theories, but investigators leave aside any assumptions and follow facts, wherever they may lead. I’m not surprised to hear various theories about this well-known case, but those theories do not impact the fact-based investigation conducted by the personnel officially assigned to the case.

To reiterate the reason for the FBI closing the case at this time: the FBI’s Seattle Division was awaiting results of FBI Laboratory testing of items related to a person considered a possible match to the hijacker. The results came back in January 2016 and did not resolve this case. There are no additional leads to pursue, neither for that individual nor any others. In order to solve a case, the FBI must prove culpability beyond a reasonable doubt, and, unfortunately, none of the well-meaning tips reported, or applications of new investigative technology have yielded the proof needed to solve this mystery. Every time the FBI assesses additional tips from the NORJAK case, investigative resources and manpower are diverted from programs that more urgently need the attention. Although the FBI will no longer actively investigate this case, should specific physical evidence emerge—related explicitly to the parachutes or the money taken by the hijacker, individuals with that evidence are asked to contact their local FBI field office.
