How smart was Cooper? when you look at the McCoy hijacking, you will notice he acted like the Copilot always asking for updates on the location, speed, weather etc. he knew where he was going. Cooper said fly to Mexico? no known path, or direction other than Mexico. the darkness, and cloud cover didn't help him much either with navigation.

I can't tell you he made it one way, or the other? I just don't have enough to say he made it. I have a feeling he didn't for several reasons, but nothing proving he lost his life.

None of the witnesses spoke of any makeup, or disguise...

Larry Carr addressed the makeup and disguise issues on DropZone and said there wasn't any.  Tina and Flo were too close to him and could have easily determined if he was wearing either.  They said he wasn't.

Some people like to try and use the passenger's testimony, they didn't have a reason to recall Cooper, and that's why they are different. some people with suspects latch onto one account, and run with the wind. it's a totality of information, and based on the passengers, it appears they were unreliable 

Jo claims an entirely different account, and that's how myths are started. if you are standing right next to the person, and they are the same height, you will remove that suspect. Kenny was the same height as Tina, so no matter what you say, she knows Cooper was taller than herself.

There is the key difference, "it happened so fast" Not the same in the Cooper case. Mucklow spent almost five hours with Cooper, I think she could have got the base physical indentifiers correct, especially when the others reported almost the same.

The physical description I provided is a reported fact. No matter how much you would like to change it you simply can't throw it out and replace it with theoretical fact so it fits your suspect. If you do, your investigation is doomed to fail. No matter how much someone wants to put DB Cooper's height at 5'8" will never change the fact he was reported to be 6'. You can certainly say it's so but you have to have articulable fact to support the dismissal of the witnesses credibility. But if you discredit the witness on one piece of her statement you may have to discredit all, you can't have it both ways.

I would bet on him detailing everything he did to make sure any witness would say that exactly, and then he would separate his real sale from Dan Cooper.  Another way for him to get away.
I am almost certain, that if DB Cooper is not already dead, due to old age or something other than not surviving the jump, that he is probably on this forum watching somewhere.
He will make sure his legacy continues to go on, while he is alive. There is someone out there that knows who he is.  The real db cooper.. That person is someone that can help carry the legacy, if cooper is gone.. His mind is very special.. He has done the impossible. Nobody can catch him or replicate the facts. That's a beautiful mind. Regardless, he is a genius in its own way.. And that is the real reason why we celebrate him..

Nobody knows for certain if the clothes he was wearing were actually his. he could of purchased an outfit, I don't know. the tie might not be his for all we know, if that's the case, then we have no evidence from the tie, and tie clip. and no background at all on Cooper....

I would bet on him detailing everything he did to make sure any witness would say that exactly, and then he would separate his real sale from Dan Cooper.  Another way for him to get away.

I find this possibility very appealing, but then it begs the question: why did he do it? Private gain? Someone else's agenda?

I don't think it was someone else's agenda, but it could have been. I think he had it out for the government, and wanted to make the FBI look ridiculous. He had a plan, and he accomplished it. All the way down to the exact amount of bills that he wanted.
What he did was not impossible, it just took a lot of research and careful detail.. As long as he knew how to open a parachute effectively, and knew the routine and blue prints of the 727, everything else would kind of fall into place if he did his job right.
I think it was a personal vendetta, mixed with a finacial decision.. Maybe he had went to war, and experienced jumping or surviving, and he had nothing to lose, but a lot to gain of he were careful.
That could probably do wonders for ptsd.  Who knows?

In response to Blevins most recent update regarding the Ariel BBQ, Bryan Woodruff posted the following reply:


"Perhaps before any further statements pertaining to Ariel Store and I as the owner should be given consent as I do not agree with statements now posted. I am my Mother's son and like it or not, IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. Would you like to join Mr. Bruce Smith, and go to Helen Waite".


It's a little confusing really. When I look at the update Blevins did, I don't really see anything that should get Bryan riled up. Yeah, he takes a shot at Shutter and the forum here, but he's been doing that since day 1 and that hasn't seemed to bother Bryan. Bryan even took a shot at the forum with one of his earlier posts there. Perhaps Blevs posted something elsewhere that didn't set right with Bryan, facebook maybe, who knows. Maybe the comment wasn't even directed at Blevins and I'm taking it completely wrong. Sure don't seem like it though.
