That's typical of Robert, hate crime? since when was murder not out of revenge, or hate. labels, labels, labels...remember that tune  C:-) the news will exploit this to the extreme, not caring about those involved. when you go to Canada, they don't report crime like it's done here. it's very low key.

I remember years ago, a woman was killed by her ex husband on camera. she was going to visit her son/daughter's grave. he came up from behind shooting her multiple times in the back of the head. the news showed it over, and over again for several days. imagine being part of that family having to watch this again and again....

Sad story. Reports are that the gunman has pledged loyalty to Isis. I made the comment over lunch today that with this being an election year, that it was just a matter of time before some turned this into a "hate crime". I took a look at Blevins site to see that he is doing just that. Why am I not surprised?

He's also suing the writers of "The Martian". They stole the story from one of his books you know. Both people that have read the book think so anyway.

Regardless, hate crime, terrorist, whatever label you want to put on it, this shit just isn't going away. I feel for those that lost loved ones in Orlando.

I read Robert's article about parts of his book being copied.

Robert's book came out in 2011 and The Martian was published in 2014.  However, "The Martian" first appeared chapter by chapter on Andy Weir's web site and was self published as a Kindle book in 2011, and Weir supposedly started the book in 2009.  I doubt this gets very far.

Sounds like another "story" the gunshots, the motorcycle, "inland rogue waves" (my favorite) lost in the snow (nobody noticed)

Attention is his main goal....I see he has cluttered up the Ariel facebook page with his nonsense..

If anything, they could accuse him!! that would cost him thousands to try and prove...it's all BS.

Sometime around 2011 or so, Blevins posted some portions of a so-called book about Mars on DZ.  I forget the exact story but I think it involved a Mars landing.  Anyway, I ran Blevins' story numbers through my calculator and they contained gross errors.  And I so advised Blevins with the usual reaction from him.

So unless some other writer copied Blevins story exactly, and included all those errors, then I suspect that any lawsuit Blevins starts will end with him paying the other guy's legal fees as a minimum.

Same thing here last year - a young security guard at the mall shot a young girl working at the Children's Museum for spurning his unwanted attentions. He was married. He's in for Life. Senseless.

The only thing he's going to file is his nails (smiles) his lack of researching things comes shinning through once again. I guess he will have to "dream up" another story for views. perhaps we could rename his site, how about "faux news" (laughs) the land of "misinformation" "auto ban" that's the biggest LIE yet!

So how do you get your fun out of the DB Cooper case?

For me, it's telling somebody about the Cooper case that has never heard of it. Usually it starts with me making some off comment reference to Cooper, like "You pulled a regular D.B. Cooper on that one", and inevitably, they'll ask, who's Cooper. Then I start "So, in 1971 this guy boarded a plane....then in 1980..." Anyone I've told is always fascinated about it. "No, really? No, that's not possible". Usually they spend a little time in the next few days reading about it, watching videos, etc. Then more discussion with ensue.  I guess I just like watching people's reactions.

Blazer, You need to be careful or you may get charged with a crime against humanity. :)  Isn't there a federal law against hooking people on the Cooper nonsense? C:-)

There's a Federal law against hi-jacking planes too, that doesn't seem to motivate the FBI however.  ;D

73blazer  You say:
"There's a Federal law against hi-jacking planes too, that doesn't seem to motivate the FBI however."

I say:   "It is becoming very noticeable that the FBI is not working on the DB Cooper case as I gave them in January (the Seattle FBI office) all they need to know to haul in Sheridan Peterson for a lie to the FBI about his whereabouts during the skyjacking (Norjack) and his alibi said he was delivering one of his two children in Nepal as required by the female Doctor. However, the Public Records available from persopo.com shows Sheridan had no children born in 1971 as his son was born in 1970 and his daughter in 1972.  Norjack was Nov 24m 1971. I found that FLAW by using the Public Records that were not as available in 1971 and now we have the internet which makes it easy to search records. Sheridan thought he could get away with a lie and probably a copy of a birthday certificate with a forged date but in Nepal was used.
So, here in the DB Cooper Forum we should call for the FBI to remove the "Stonewalling or Hand-cuffs" from the FBI so they can finally solve the DB Cooper case. They could even offer Sheridan no jail time for his story about how he did it and where the loot went.. Then we would not have to talk about Tina's Bar and etc. over and over to no avail.

The FBI isn't going to listen to this little forum, or any other. it's just another case to a lot of them. I would be happy with them allowing questions to be answered. I bet a lot of Hoffa fans are probably going through similar problems seeking answers...

Anything new to the case is always fun. we don't see it to often though. I get some peoples attention talking about Cooper offline, some don't seem to interested in it at all. the attention span starts drifting  ;D ;D

I got another gator in my canal behind me..this guy is getting pretty big..about 4 1/2 feet. took the photo about 2 feet above him. he didn't move a muscle when I moved in close to him...I used crackers to get him close  O0

Should they offer Sheridan a million dollars for a confession as a further incentive!?   O0 :)) :)) :)) :)) :))

Otherwise you need to stand in line with all the other claim filers - there are many!  >:D

I learned about DB Cooper in 2008 when a co-worker asked if my missing father (missing since September 1971) could be DB Cooper. At the same time she asked me this question, I noticed the sketch on the front page of the St. Paul Pioneer Press (You are not allowed to view links. As I read the article, I looked up at her and said, "Holy Shit!.....Could be my dad?"

This is why I am interested in the Cooper case.

I can't remember where I actually learned about Cooper. I remember watching shows over the years always having an interest in Cooper, but back then the access to searching things were limited. Marla Cooper's story brought me where I am today. I started reading her story and decided to start looking into it. that's when I found Dropzone...

Growing up I was always fascinated with Cooper, and the escape from Alcatraz. the Clint Eastwood version of Alcatraz started that venture. I remember going to the school library reading up on what could be found.

I hope an update comes around soon with the escape. the new story sounds promising, but one never knows...
