Sounds like the public needs to be made aware of the decisions taking place in Ariel with the banning of hardcore DB Cooper researchers, and some media outlets. The Mountain News has been around long enough to be considered hardcore Cooper site.

Some may not always agree with the articles, but it's still an active place to catch up on the Cooper world activities.

When asking for money from the public, the last thing you need floating around is refusing to do interviews with the Cooper community. then the constant blocking of the forum to the public. actually, it should be considered a website since 98% of the members there end up leaving due to "inward thinking" and zero interaction taking place other than the administrator.

This is not a case of joining under a false name simply to stir shit up. this is a real life issue that needs to be taken seriously. criticism is part of the process. questions will be asked, specially when the background of the project is needed. people want to know who is involved, and why before they dish any money out.

My decision to not get involved was not an easy one. as mentioned before. I don't personally know Bryan, but I respect his choice to continue his mother's tradition, and I wish him the best of luck, but I refuse to get involved with someone who has been bashing this site since the first day it appeared online. his site is filled with spiteful, hatred, and jealous comments from him, and his moderator.

I havent seen much (if anything) about who Bryan is, his stance in the Cooperland, the patch he wears on his motorcycle jacket, his goals and sentiments in the current affair of which 'we' (the general public) have no stake or status whatever. What brand of weed are he and Blevins smoking together?   :-\

Bryan could be quite different from his mother? What flips his Bic ?

For all we know Bryan may agree with Blevins? Bryan may never have heard of Dropzone but he may watch TV and have seen Decoded! Bryan may only read fiction and not trust or like non-fiction readers.

Who is using who? What's the end goal? Does Bryan want the Ariel tap to go Continental or Heavy Metal?

Like Bennett said, 'it's just a building" with no material link to the DB Cooper case! It's a figment of the imagination. We know why the pot-n-pan salesman Blevins is there and what he's after (control in Cooperland)? We don;t know what Bryan's goals and motives are. Maybe he envisions a sushi bar for lumber jacks and bikers? Or a meditation retreat for people dealing with asbestos and shingles? Maybe there is gold under the property!  :) :) :)

What is Blevins' cut and how much is his "expert" advice worth ? $$$

Is this really anyone's business but theirs?  :o

This is what I mean - what can these guys be thinking?

Blevins posts this on Google:

AB of Seattle Creating Fundraising Video for Ariel Tavern | DB ...
unsolved-crimes.freeforums.net › DB Cooper in the Media
Apr 7, 2016 - The Ariel General Store and Tavern, the home of the annual 'D.B. Cooper Festival' each November, has ... Robert Blevins, Managing Editor

Then he closes the door to the public at /unsolved-crimes.freeforums.net / He has done this numerous times since starting the site; why?

Come on Bobby. Grow up! You can't post an invitation for the whole world to see then CLOSE THE DOOR!

Are you mashugana or what?

Looks like the Ariel rebuild is off to a blazing start!

Door closed! (We dont want no stinkin help!)

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of things. Remember, I have not spoken directly to Bryan, yet, nor have I seen him since Meyer and I took a ride down to Ariel a couple years back. So, it is possible that ALL of the current email correspondence is fabricated. Much of the substance, and certainly the tone, of the emails are not representative of the Bryan I met then, and spoke with several times last November after his mother passed away.

Hence, I am endeavoring to speak with other family members. If Bryan's identity has been hijacked, we should know in due time.

In the meantime tell us a little about Bryan. Who is he? What's his day-job. Was he a crucial part of the running of the Ariel store and Cooper Days, or was that all his mother's work?

It is all but certain what RMB's motives are. Why would Bryan even be interested in keeping the old store going if he has another (better) life? I would venture to guess that most of the public outside of Ariel don't know anything about Bryan Woodruff. His mother was Donna Elliot, owner-operator of the Ariel Store/Bar ??

On the other hand we do know who RobertMBlevins is!

I think it is safe to assume there already are Cooperites in this .. 377? Jerry Thomas? Geoff Gray?  Talking to RMB and Bryan off the record?

Who has a vested interest in keeping the Ariel Bar going and for what reasons?

How extensive are the repairs and upgrading that the store needs? What kind of revenue will it have to generate after it is brought up to code, just to meet taxes and keep the door open?

Do Woodruff and Blevins have a "contract"?

lots of questions -

<edit> Woodruff has a website. Aspiring poet.

INTERNATIONAL POET OF MERIT AWARD presented by the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF POETS, Aug. 25, 2002 , EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARD for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT in POETRY published 2001.

Maybe that is his tie-in to RMB/Adventure Books socalled.

He has a degree from a Business college.  Nice family.   It looks like he was a basic part of running the Ariel store and his mother's affairs. Nice photography.

I don't know much.

He's quiet, in the shadows when Meyer and I visited the Ariel Store in August 2103. We were more focused on Dona.

Besides his poetry, which he shares freely, Bryan is heavily into fundamental Christianity. He appears to me in his mid-40s, maybe approaching 50.

In November, 2013, he was behind the bar, if I recall, for DB Cooper Days. But remember, the Ariel Store is basic. No liquor, no wine, just beer - and only beer in cans and bottles. No tap.

Dona ran a hot dog concession in the quiet room, which is off from the main room. She was cooking weenies on an electric grill that had skinny rods sticking out and rotated past the heating elements. Again, basic.

No menu, either. No real kitchen or food available. The so-called "famous DB Cooper Festival Stew" is cooked outside somewhere. BBQ? Maybe.

What he's doing (which may be nothing) is SECRET!

His "wage earner sheeple" and "slapped down red haired step orphans" must be up to something.

Just between us Jews, what kind of meat is in the stew?

Bruce, didn't you tell me that you didn't think Bryan had a computer? there is only one person who would be that hateful towards this community. make sure you get to the bottom of things. impersonating someone is walking a very thin legal line.

Has the Tavern ever really been a "profitable business" ?

His whole Christiansen "stories", is an impersonation. His 500+ articles at Newsvine he used to advertise, likewise! Blevins has a bad habit of impersonating stories, people, facts, etc in order to 'substitute' his own "impersonation" of the facts. This is one of the reasons he was dubbed the "venom magnet". People don't like it when someone conveniently leaves out crucial facts in order to substitute or subvert the truth!

However, some people like Blevins' cynical approach. They believe it is completely appropriate since most of the world is corrupt to the core, anyway! How can anyone object or complain if a little more corruption is added to an already polluted fabric of existence! To some people the DB Cooper story is a prime example. The FBI botched and corrupted the Cooper case, so how can a little more 'speculation passing for truth' hurt? It's all good fun!  8)

Let's count the lies. Attached is the new-new-new-new facepage for Blevins socalled one person website on DB Cooper where in fact he never has discussed DB Cooper but only his personal BS.

Lie #1: ProBoards does not require a login as stated by Blevins! The login feature is switched on or off by the manager of a particular board. In the case of Blevins free board that is, guess who? Robert Blevins himselves. He has had the feature "on" then "off" repeatedly since he founded the board. Since only Blevins himself is on his board, switching his board off creates a false impression of mystery and importance - activity!. People do look in on his board just to see what's being said or not said but nothing is ever happening there. Locking people out creates a false sense of mystery, as if something is going on when in fact nothing is going on! Its all a game Blevins plays, to deceive the world, depending on his mood and his mindstate on any given day!

Lie #2:   Adventure Books of Seattle. Nobody in the whole book selling or literary community at SEATTLE has ever been able to find "AB of Seattle". There is no proof (and Blevins refused to give any proof) that AB of Seattle ever has existed at Seattle! So why Seattle? It sounds good. It sounds important. What there has been through the years is an Apt 'C' on a street in Auburn, WA. It is from this apartment that the affairs of G&B Housecleaning and socalled AB of Seattle is run, and may have always been run. There is no evidence that AB of Seattle ever existed at Seattle or exists today at Seattle, in spite of Blevins advertising!

Lie #3:  "Here we discuss the skyjacker who got away ..." Well "no" that isn't true either. Since the collapse and closing of Dropzone due to Blevins ad Jo Weber, Blevins has never discussed the DB Cooper case, on his new website at ProBoards or anywhere else .... he uses his ProBoards account to criticise others and post his personal business. He currently has no members at his ProBoards website!

Lie #4:  "Registrations are reviewed by staff" ... at AB Books of Seattle (which i actually in an apartment 'C' at Auburn WA. So ... what staff?  AB of Seattle has no "staff" ! It's Gayala Prociv and her live-in Robert M Blevins!

Lie #5:  Blevins is big on Security - he says! BE SURE TO GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFO TO BLEVINS ... HE COLLECTS PEOPLE'S PERSONAL INFO! Bobby is a just a little bit paranoid; he has reason to be! Bobby likes 'being on control'... when he is not hiding in the woods, or lost in the woods! Blevins has told the world how he was "lost in the woods for 30 days" ... in a place he claims be a a survival expert on. What has that got to do with collecting people's personal info? I have no idea. Maybe Blevins collects personal info to get lost in? Blevins is a lost Decoder who apparently is lost in his own decoding? It's a complete mystery to me! Oh the drama of it all!

 :) :) :)
