Weird News from Cooper World
Bill Johnson, the first American skier to win an Olympic gold medal for downhill racing - 1984 in Sarjevo - died today from head injury complications. He was 55.
First tidbit - he died in a Gresham, Oregon assisted-living facility. (I will check this out shortly to see if it's the one Tina was in). Johnson was born in LA, but grew up in the Hood Mt area of Oregon.

In addition to his ex-wife, Johnson is survived by his mother, D.B. Johnson-Cooper; two sisters, Victoria Johnson and Kathryn Pundt; a brother, Wallace; and two sons, Nicholas and Tyler.
