Has this guy got a gun in his left hand?

Nope, from looking at the video you could see it's a cellphone. he has it on speaker, he makes gestures with his right hand while walking, and in the video you can see the light from the phone. hard to show in the still pic. 3 out of the four guys are seen talking on cellphones. if it was a look out guy they wouldn't be so involved with talking to him, so I think they are setting things up for there arrival in Miami. it's about a 25 minute drive with no traffic.

Several reasons lead me to believe it was an inside job. they knew where everything was, and one of the trucks stolen is hard to start, unless you know how. I watched them get into the truck, and start it right up. you need to turn the key and wait about 5 seconds before starting the truck, or it will not start at all.

Good clue on truck starting problem and knowing where everything was stored, but wouldn't insiders know that video cameras were on site and have been more careful about appearing on recordings?

Yes, you would think that, but if you are familiar with camera's you might have noticed they are too high. the screens are visible in the office. I've told Lynn (one of the owners) that the camera's are too high in the past. she is a hawk, they were set up mainly to watch the employee's. she gets mad when we talk to the people in the shop. she see's it on the camera, and come flying out.."these guys are on the clock" the other problem with camera's is a lot of companies don't keep up on them and they don't work. 3 other business's on our street had camera's, but only one company had them working.

The starting of the truck is a key clue. if you start that truck like you would any other vehicle, it will flood out, and it will take another 5-10 minutes to try to start it again. anyone could of cased and figured out things, but the truck starting sticks out the most. you can watch the video and see the lights come on, and a couple seconds later the truck starts!

It's an older utility truck (1999) it's tired, and worn out.

With four people involved onsite, new trucks stolen to use in the theft, license plates stolen for the new trucks, and knowledge of the peculiarities of some of the equipment, I would suggest that some of the participants did have inside knowledge even if they didn't work there.

This looks like a professional theft ring who had a specific list of equipment that they were seeking.  Perhaps the fact that most of the people were talking on cell phones means that they were discussing with their "customers" the equipment that they had access to.

If this company had recently changed owners, were there any unhappy former employees?

That's being looked into now. the sad thing of this is one of the owners (Lynn) worked with this company for years prior to buying the company. so it's probably had a lot of workers come and go...

They could of easily found the right guys to do the job, and tell them everything about the yard, and equipment. one guy quit a month ago, he is being looked at, and another who I think might be involved..

Technically it is a burglary not a robbery. Hope the cops do some investigating and make some arrests. Around here you can hardly get any police attention for a burglary.

The cops are not doing anything about the tip that came in. I have located two of them. They both live close to the shop.  Both have extensive backgrounds. More details when i get home.

Weird News from Cooper World

Bill Johnson, the first American skier to win an Olympic gold medal for downhill racing - 1984 in Sarjevo - died today from head injury complications. He was 55.

First tidbit - he died in a Gresham, Oregon assisted-living facility. (I will check this out shortly to see if it's the one Tina was in). Johnson was born in LA, but grew up in the Hood Mt area of Oregon.

Second:
In addition to his ex-wife, Johnson is survived by his mother, D.B. Johnson-Cooper; two sisters, Victoria Johnson and Kathryn Pundt; a brother, Wallace; and two sons, Nicholas and Tyler.
