I think it's safe to say most of us don't really care what happened behind the scenes during the Josh Gates program.
That includes me and probably Meyer as well. ![Grin ;D](https://thedbcooperforum.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
Absolutely, and I regret going into some of the gory behind-the-scenes details regarding my conflicts with "street savvy journalist" Bruce Smith. He wanted to be "drama queen for a day" here on the forum and spill all for all to see. I did not want to go there, and it was unnecessary, actually. . I apologize -- it's true, no one here is actually interested in all the bullshit that went on behind the scenes.
In spite of it all, I value the experience. It was good to see, and spend the day with, R99. We went over lots of information, and had lengthy discussion, the night before the shoot -- at the hotel. I wanted to be sure I understood the Malay-Canby intersection and R99's theory and thinking on it.
We did like 7-10 retakes on several scenes, sometimes more. Josh Gates wanted what he wanted. I too was disappointed the show took the turn it did with the Reno jump and Hall's theory -- we all know it just can't be. That came out of nowhere! I was shocked the program took that turn. I was expecting to see Shutter's flight simulator and was disappointed that didn't happen.
