Was the Vancouver Sun letter ever tested for DNA??  Where is it now?

I realize it may be a hoax, but it looks like it is written by someone trying to disguise their writing and contextually it is odd that one would write a hoax letter claiming the suspect sketch "does not represent the truth".


On November 30th a letter is sent from Vancouver, BC. This is the 6th day after the hijacking. 

The name D.B. Cooper was a misnomer by the media/press. When the entire population thinks D.B. Cooper hijacked the plane, why wouldn't "Dan Cooper" bring this truthful factoid to the forefront along with the comment about the sketch not representing the truth if the person writing the letter was indeed, the hijacker?

This is strictly my opinion, but a letter signed by Dan Cooper, the name actually used by the hijacker, would hold more credence than a letter signed by the misnomer.

If he used "Dan" it would be stronger but not using Dan doesn't eliminate.. perhaps he preferred DB as "Dan" was a stronger clue to his identity.. just like discounting the suspect sketch.. who knows.. can cut both ways.

Odds are it is a hoax, but can't eliminate possibility it is legit.

But, my broader point was locating the letter and DNA testing.. Can we get this letter tested? What happened to it?

I didn't post it because I am worried that it will get taken by others (not the longtime Cooper sleuths) on such a public forum. I am still trying to track down the date and context, it seems like a random image from the comic.

To clarify, I have a photograph from a remote location within 100 miles (NNE) of the original FBI "landing zone" area just South of Lake Merwyn. That photo matches 100% to an image in the Dan Cooper comic, not close, not resembles, they are the EXACT same spot, no doubt, no question.

"Dan Cooper" the fictional French Canadian comic character was within 100 miles of "Dan Cooper" the hijacker's suspected landing zone.. how mind blowing is that.. Alone it is a bizarre coincidence, but with all my other evidence, I may have the solve, short of DNA test. (and I have the suspects's DNA)

Any FBI people want to compare DNA with the hijacker samples, call, email or PM me..

Everything matches, mountains, ridge lines, unique rock formations, trees and tree lines, small lake, hiking path, even the scale, it all matches perfectly. No doubt it is exact same location. It is in a spot that has road access that is closed during winter.

Where did you find this? Is there a webpage associated with it? Something to validate that it is from a Dan Cooper comic. Date? It almost has to be after the hijacking ... based on known events after the hijacking.

The Cooper comic image was just a background flash in a french video about Dan Cooper comics I had downloaded a while ago, and I screen grabbed it. It is 100% a Dan Cooper comic image. I don't know the date, that is what I am trying to pin down, as I mentioned before I have a bunch of Cooper and Tintin comics ordered, maybe a week out.. hope it is in one of them. The image doesn't claim any particular location but it is a real location within 100 miles of the Hijacker DZ..

If before the hijacking then WOW, if after then why, it doesn't have any location attribution.

Rather than looking for a needle in a haystack have you contacted Weinberg etal and asked them?

Why would it be a spoof vs simple historical background based on real world events?  These people arent trying to make news - rather working from it.  They obviously were following the Cooper hijacking as they have already stated years ago ... Carr contacted Weinberg and talked to him on the premise Weinberg or his associates might havre some idea who Cooper was ...
