Whoa, Robert. I have read Dr. Edwards' book - and I believe my criticisms are well founded. In fact, many of the deficiencies I see in his book have been also touted by others, such as on the Amazon and Goodreads book sites, where I have posted my critiques. Further, I have called his book a masterpiece here on these pages for its stellar organization and distillation of the 302s. But I have also called it uneven, and noted that it gave me a near-migraine while reading it. It's a great reference book for us researchers, but it is one hellava tough read for the average Joe.

Perhaps I should have encouraged Snowmman and myself to RE-read Doc Edwards' book to discuss Takhli. But that's too much work for too little gain in my view

As for claiming I am a journalist, I do so since I am published in multiple places and I get paid for my writing. Why do you ask?

Bruce, I am not familiar with the Goodreads book site that you mention but I am familiar with the Amazon site.

Amazon lists six reviews of Dr. Edwards' book.  Five of those reviews give it five stars and the sixth review gives it four stars.  All of those reviews were made by verified purchasers in the USA and I don't recognize any of the names.

If you have attempted to post a review of Dr. Edwards' book at Amazon, it didn't make it past Amazon's own "quality control" reviewers or else you used a new screen name. :o

I’ve read the book and now I have read 7 books on DB Cooper and am presently getting started on my 8 th which is Marty’s “ Finding D B Cooper “. I find them all to be great reads and they all add something different. I give Robert Edwards book a 5 Star ! He takes the topic from a more Mathematical angle giving us a perspective of likelihood of something happening. Being a Math Geek, I found it to be a very accurate perspective of what might have been most likely to have happened. Do I buy into everything presented ? No but Mr. Edwards didn’t expect us to. He has no suspects and neither do I.

What math could be accurate in the cooper case?
I would think that "design of experiments" would say that there's not enough data to be sure of predicting anything?

What math did you think was good in Edwards book?

Snowmman, have you actually read Dr. Edswards' book?  A simple "yes" or "no" will be sufficient.

At Amazon I gave Doc Edwards' book 3 stars. I took one star off because it is such a difficult read, and another star because I thought his analysis and final conclusions were inadequate and, frankly, lame. He puts DBC in the river - kind of - and that type of conclusion should have a ton of evidence to back it up, and I didn't see it. One out of six FAA officials monitoring 305 is insufficient, in my view, on which to hang an entire theory of the case. Further, there is little to no inclusion from personages. No interviews that I recall, nor analysis of the commentaries from the principals.

Yes, the production values are outstanding. All those graphs and pictures. Amazing.

Bruce, Dr. Edwards' analysis is the most comprehensive and detailed of any to appear in print that I am aware of.  He did his own research and explains exactly how he reached his conclusions.

Further, as of this writing, there is no review of this book posted on Amazon by you.  It is still six reviews posted with five reviewers giving the book five stars and one reviewer giving it four stars.

Doc Edwards uses his own moniker: DF-something. Nicky B is our beloved Nicky Broughton.

I'm surprised that Doc Edwards is not a more robust participant here. I wonder why. Yo, Doc - how come you're so quiet? Don't you want to explain or amplify your book?

I told Doc Edwards not to post on the internet because it would hurt my eyeballs. He apparently listened.

What math did you think was good in Edwards book?

Snowmman, have you actually read Dr. Edswards' book?  A simple "yes" or "no" will be sufficient.

Simple answer: no (I thought you already asked this before)
And I answered before: "why would I read it?"
Especially if I had to pay for it, not even considering the time wasted?

Simple question "Why do you keep asking me?"
Are you trying to pump up book sales?

Snowmman, now that you have finally admitted that you haven't even read the book you have been criticizing, I have one comment.  You don't know what in hell you are talking about!

Finally?
Don't you read any posts?
I have always said I haven't read his book, other than the preview pages that were available on Amazon.

Let's explore this non-reading by Snowmman some more.

When did evidence first surface of this non-reading? How has this non-reading affected the price of olives in Shenzen?
